Wednesday Morning Music Shuffle - Feels so Good Mix

Back in the morning....   A warmer, but still cool morning, sweet tunes and a inexplicable sense of optimism.  It's mid-week and we have an honest to goodness music shuffle to start off your day.

Nashville's own Ben Folds has reunited with his four er... two cohorts known as the Ben Folds Five for a new album and some live dates.  Here is the title track of The Sound of the Life of the Mind which finds Ben and the boys in fine form.

Our friends from Connecticut, The Grimm Generation are back with a brand new EP called Coming Home, which we will be discussing in greater detail soon.  For now, this morning's shuffle brought up the lead-off track from the record, Blink, I'm GoneOn this track, the band continues to cut their own unique and classic sounding path through the landmine filled landscape that is the modern music industry.  Blink, I'm Gone has great sounding music including a Spanish sounding guitar and a hook that's to die for.

Ann and Nancy Wilson were not the founders of the band, Heart, but make no mistake for better or worse, the band is for all intents and purposes the Wilson sisters.  Now, over 30 years since they made some of their best music, Heart are back with a new album called Fanatic. I can't say I was ever a big Heart fan, but I do remember listening to a lot of their 70s era music.  I decided to check out Fanatic after reading a post from a Facebook friend who had been a big Heart fan and who had long ago fallen out of love with them.  He was raving about the new record.  So, here is the title track to Fanatic.
