All of this happened a long time ago when the world was a very different place. Of course, none of us knew that at the time.

SAVE THE DATE!!!!!  Thursday, November 15, 2018 - We have a pretty cool event in the works.  More to come!

Time to put this damn week out of its misery...

Let's go!

"Christmas in Nashville" by Matt Campbell

Second day in a row, we have a track from the forthcoming album by Nashville (Tennessee)'s own Matt Campbell. This one is about Christmas in Nashville (Indiana). The Man With Everything is due out November 9.

"Jealous" by Chris Wilson and the Heresy

Next up, we have a first E2TG listen to an album, I picked up during Americana Fest.  I saw Chris Wilson perform during the all-day event hosted by the Magnolia Road crew at Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge.  This EP, Downfall was released back in August - shortly before I got my copy. Wilson is based in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana (hey, Sue - notice two songs in a row with connections to Indiana!).  He had previously spent some time in Ireland. Shout out to Don Gallardo for making sure I heard him and got a copy of the album.

"Mellow" by Middlemist Red

Next, we have our final track from the album Ripple Soul by this neo-psych band from Budapest, Hungary.  The band's name comes from the name of one of the rarest flowers in the world.

"I'm Not Lisa" by Elizabeth Cook

Next up, we have a track from Cafe Rooster Sessions Vol. 2, which we have been featuring.  It is Nashville's own Elizabeth Cook - with a song written by Jessi Colter and released by her in 1975. Cook first recorded the song for her 2002 album Hey Ya'll.

"Rust" by Nathan Bell

Next up, we have Nathan Bell with a live version of a song, he first released on his 2010 album Black Crow Blue.  This version is from his recently released album Er Gwaetha Pawb a Phopeth which was recorded in Wales during his tour supporting his last album Love > Fear (48 Hours in Traitorland).

"Splitsville U.S. of A" by Danny Sandock

Next we have another track from Throwing Me for a Loop the fifth and most recent album by California singer-songwriter Danny Sandock.  Good roots based rock and roll.

"Reaper" by Musta Paraati

The shuffle takes a darker turn with a track from Black Parade  which was released today. Musta Paraati are a Finnish post-punk band that formed in the early 1980s and are considered pioneers of the Finnish post-punk scene.  The band's originally lead singer passed away in 1993. Joining the band for this new album is Jyrki 69 from the band The 69 Eyes. Great sounding album.

"Our Darkness" by rOZZ

Next, a different kind of darkness from the Belgian folk artist known as rOZZ.  The album is called Crunching for the C.  rOZZ (real name Julie) interests include Astronomy and all manner of art.  She is alo a forum moderator for SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.

"Johnny Lee" by Barbara Blue

We close with another track from Fishing In Dirty H2O by the Reigning Queen of Beale Street.  The album is out now. Great Memphis-based blues music.
