Featured Friday Morning Shuffle - Seen Enough Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

ICYMI - This morning, we premiered the new video from Nashville's Pansexual East Side Queen - Elisabeth Beckwitt.  Check out "Free Fall" HERE

We have reached the end of another work week and another week of shuffles.

We have a pretty awesome Featured Friday Shuffle for you today.

A couple of show alerts that I wanted to mention.  (And as always in Nashville there is a ton of cool stuff).  Tomorrow night seems like a good night to "camp out" at The 5 Spot*.  Early show features E2TG favorites Amelia White and Brett Ryan Stewart and Rosemary Stewart.   As always, Amelia will be backed by an amazing group of Blue Souvenirs.  After that early show, stick around for Harvest Spoon - a Neil Young tribute and benefit to support 5 Spot door man (and Not-So-Steadycam Productions) Jason "Shakes" Hostetler in his mission to deliver Liftware Utensil kits (spoons) to people whose lives are improved by this technology.

An all-star cast of Nashville's best will be on hand.

*actual camping is neither allowed or encouraged at The 5 Spot - I know, I've tried.

"Seen Enough Leavers" by Meghan Hayes

I just found out a couple of days ago and Meghan Hayes will be doing a couple of songs at Harvest Spoon!  This is the title track from her amazing and empowering album.  The CD Release for Seen Enough Leaving is coming up next week at The 5 Spot.

"Berlin" by Slowness

Next up, we have another track from the forthcoming Berths album by San Francisco drone pop, slow core, shoegaze band Slowness.  Look for the full Berths album early next month.
"When the Change Comes" by Greg Felden

Next up, we have a track from Made of Strings - another forthcoming album - this from LA based American artist Greg Felden. I have really been digging this album and expect more to come!

"Hollow Hill" by Kim Thompsett

Hey - how about another forthcoming album.  Next up, we have this lovely song from The Hollows (due May 31st) by British folk artist Kim Thompsett. The music on The Hollows is haunting and mystical and lovely. This album has been blowing me away of late.
"Cut Out" by Warming

Next up, we have a track from the self-titled album by Winnipeg based Warming - their music mixes jangly rock with synth pop sounds. Cool stuff.

"You're the First, The Last, My Everything" by Hafdis Huld

Next up, we have another stunning track and mind-blowing cover from Icelandic artist Hafdis Huld and her album Variations.  This one is a cover of a Barry White song from his 1974 album Can't Get Enough. This album is remarkable and worth checking out.
"River Man" by Peter Rogan

Next, we  have another track from Still Tryin' to Believe from singer-songwriter Peter Rogan.  Much of this album was recorded in Nashville and it features the work of Phil Madeira and Will Kimbrough (not a bad combination there).  Great songwriting and a wonderfully made album.
"It's a Lot of Work to Be a Pirate" by Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers

Sure, that East Nashville scalawag Tom Mason and his Blue Buccaneers have been actively recruiting young people with their latest album - If You Want to Be a Pirate Songs for Young Buccaneers, but at least they are practicing truth in advertising. It is a lot of work to be a pirate, and for the last several years - Mason and his merry band have been hard at work Making Pirate Music Great Again - ah who am I kidding - pirate music never stopped being great!

"People On My Money" by Sonic Reducers

Last week (so or - time is hard) we had our first listen to a pre-album release single from the Ithaca New York - punk band Sonic Reducers. Now- their self-title debut album is out.  This is the band that features Luke Slomba - who we know from The Foresters.
