Trending Tuesday Morning Shuffle - Murder of Crows Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

All right, as I mentioned yesterday - time going to be short this week - so no chit-chat - let's get to the music!

"A Murder of Crows" by The Membranes

First off, we have our first listen to the forthcoming new album from British post-punk band The Membranes which is due out next month.  The album is called What Nature Gives… Nature Takes Away.  The Membranes formed in 1977. Their initial run lasted until 1990. They reformed in 2009/2010 and this will be their second album since reforming.  We have a vintage video of the band.  A cool start to the shuffle.

"Caroline" by Adam Carroll

Next up, we have another track from the outstanding I Walked in Them Shoes album from Adam Carroll.  We have making our way through this album which finds one of the best contemporary songwriters at the top of his game.  If my memory serves me right (which most days is hit or miss - but I think I'm right this time) - we are on the look out for another album coming soon from Carroll along with his wife Chris Carroll. (They successfully crowd-funded two albums late last year).
"Dark" by Warming
Next up, we have the first of two tracks in today's shuffle from the self-titled album by Winnipeg based artist Brady Allard - who records under the name Warming.  The album has elements of synth and 80s pop.  I'm digging it.

"Far Away Tale" by ESOEBO

Next up, we have our third listen to the upcoming VI album by Atlanta based ESOEBO - the album was produced by Nashville songwriter and musician Phil Madeira - and features Madeira and the rest of Emmylou's Red Dirt Boys (including Will Kimbrough).  ESOEBO is the duo of Chuck McDowell and Gail Burnett.  Their sixth album - called VI is due out on May 31st.  Until we have tracks from the album to share, we have the featured song in our video playlist - done solo by Chuck McDowell.
"Hollow Tree" by Kim Thompsett

Next up, we have another lovely song from another album due out May 31st. The Hollows - is the latest album by UK folk artist Kim Thompsett. I am loving this album - which I recently recommended to one of my fellow WXNA DJs- DJ Lauren from Different Every Time - who think will like this album.
"Page 1" by Searmanas

Next up, we have another cut from the self-titled album by NYC Electronic music artist Niabi Aquena who records has Searmanas. This album was released last summer and has stuck around this playlist - just because.

"Reasons" by Warming

Next up, our second track of the day from Warming's self-titled album.

"The Phoenix" by Pas Musique

Next up, we have the title track from the latest album by NYC based Electronic collective Pas Musique.  Digging this abum.

"The Big and The Little Hand" by Chad Richard

We close with another track from the recently released Worthy Cause album by Texas singer-songwriter Chad Richard. The album is Chad Richard's second album and was produced by the great Walt Wilkins.
