Trending Tuesday Morning Shuffle - Carsick Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Blah, blah, blah!  I am running short on time - so let's get right to this really cool shuffle!

"The Auteur (Redux/The Starlet's Cut)" by David J; Rose McGowan

We start out with a really interesting collaboration.  David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets) teams up with actress, write, activist, and model Rose McGowan (Doom Generation, Scream) on a single due out on June 14.  The song is a redux of a song from 2002 given new light due to the #metoo movement of which McGowan is a vocal activist. It is a really powerful song. A great way to start the morning.

"Low Tide" by Gary Daly

A really nice transition into this track from the forthcoming (May 31) debut solo album by Gary Daly, a founding member of the band China Crisis. The album is called Gone from Here.  This was my first listen, and I am excited to dig into the rest of the album.
"12 More Days of Blue" by Chad Richard

E2TG favorite Renee Wahl was been on tour in Texas with her drummer David Strayer - and they recently posted a picture on social media with Chad Richard - whose album Worthy Cause was released in late April.  I am really digging this album, and this track packs a wallop.

"Can't Get Enough of You" by Reckless Johnny Wales

Next up, we have a first listen to the forthcoming album from E2TG favorite Reckless Johnny Wales.  Last time, Reckless was in a bit of a political mindset (and I expect he will be again soon), but this time out - he is all about L-O-V-E. The name of the album is End it With a Love Song, and the album cover features a younger, beardless Reckless Johnny - looking every bit the 50s/60s idol. Excited to bring you this album.
"Carsick" by Sean McCollough

Next up, we have another track from Earworm - the new album from award-winning Knoxville children's musician - Sean McCollugh.  This one made me think about my brother who never did car rides very well - especially when it involved winding mountainous roads (which it always seemed to involve).  Like the best, Children's music - you do not have to be a child to enjoy this music.

"Better This Way" by Greg Felden

Next up, we have another track from the outstanding Made of String  album - we have California singer-songwriter Greg Felden.  Really enjoying these songs.

"Down on Bourbon Street" by Josh Hyde

Next, we head to New Orleans for our second listen to Into the Soul the new album by Josh Hyde. There is a very real connection between Nashville and Louisiana when it comes to music, and this album is a prime example.  Produced by and featuring the musical talents of Joe V. McMahan (whose name is associated with many of the Louisiana/Nashville connected records of the last few years.

"Rose" by Slowness

Next up, we have what was the first song released from the album Berths by San Francisco based band Slowness. Really lovely music.

"Tell Me" by Tiny Fighter

Next up, we have a first listen to Tell Me - the new EP by Swedish/Australian outfit, Tiny Fighter.  Cool stuff.

"She Likes to Ride" by Shane Dwight Blues Band

We close with some rockin' blues from Nashville (by way of California) singer-songwriter and guitarist Shane Dwight. A cool - chunky bit of blues rock to close out the shuffle.  It is from his new album, No One Loves Me Better.
