Americana Fest week Day 2: Caught the Broken Jukebox Media Showcase at The 5 Spot - saw Chuck Hawthorne, (E2TG Artist of the Year) Ben de la Cour, Eric Brace, Rod Picott, The Truehearts, and Meghan Hayes (all who have been featured on E2TG) plus Libby Koch and Terry Klein (who soon will be featured). Fun evening. Be sure to catch The Truehearts and Meghan Hayes on Week 3 and 4 of the E2TG Residency (respectively).
After that I headed to Dee's to catch some great music from Daniel Walker, Jaime Harris, Chris Moyse, Nick Nace, and Jon Latham - a really fun night - with lots of cool people in the crowd. I am pretty exhausted. Just three more official nights of AMA to go, and only a day and a half of work left.
Tonight Darrin Bradbury will be playing at Mercy Lounge as part of the ANTI Records showcase.

We start off with another track from Talking in Installments by Burnley, Lancashire, England band Ring Ring Rouge. This is their second album - released toward the end of August.

Tomorrow is the release date for Ocean Drive by Athens Georgia based artist WesdaRuler. Digging this album - check it out!
"Stars" by Katrina Parker
We have been featuring several tracks from the new album from Katrina Parker. Today, we have the title track to her album Stars.
"Magnolia" by Suggested Friends
London based band Suggested Friends will be released Turtle Taxi in October. We have another track in the shuffle today. I am really digging the sounds and the vibes off of this band.
"Ballad of Ira Hayes" by Ward Hayden and the Outliers
Next up, we have our second listen to Can't Judge a Book - the new album by Ward Hayden and the Outliers (formerly Girls Guns and Glory. The album is mostly cover versions of songs - including this one written by Peter La Farge and covered by Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and more. The song is about the Native American soldier Ira Hayes who was one of six soldiers who raised the flag at the battle of Iwo Jima.
"Cut Your Teeth" by Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster
Next, we have another track from Take Heart Take Care by Water Liars member Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster. Loving this album,.

We have another preview of the forthcoming Paper Arrows by Chicago based artist Joe Goodkin. One of my favorite songwriters - I got to catch him at Dee' s several weeks back.
"It Is What It Is" by Grand Canyon
Next up, we have another one from Yesterday's News by Grand Canyon. Really smooth roots based music.
"I Only Get Homesick at Night" by Bill Bloomer
And we close with another track from Bounty the terrific new album by American Ex-Pat and E2TG favorite Bill Bloomer. Bloomer has a rich, deep voice and the songs to back up the vocals.
