Thinking warm safe thoughts for everyone up the East coast as the blizzard named Nemo hits.
Hope you had a chance to read my review of the new Tim Lee 3 album which was posted yesterday late in the afternoon. If not, here is a LINK.
Look for some more CD reviews coming up within the next week.
For now, I'll leave you with the following short but sweet shuffle. Happy weekend everyone...
You know... after the JUMP:
1. Dark Night by The Blasters from Slash Cuts (1985ish)
A cut from the band's 1985 album Hard Line. We have a vinyl rip off a Slash Records compilation from that time period which included Violent Femmes, Green on Red, Rank and File, Los Lobos and others. The song was used as the opening and closing song of the 1996 film From Dusk till Dawn.
2. Up on the North Shore by The Sea and Cake from The Moonlight Butterfly (2011)
The long-running jazz influenced indie rock band from Chicago. We've had this song in the shuffle before, and it's one of my favorites.
3. The High Road by Broken Bells from Broken Bells (2010)
James Mercer of the Shins and Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse). The High Road was the first single from the band and was released in 2009.
4. Bleach'd by The Foresters from The Foresters (EP) (2012)
Liam the drummer for The Foresters turned 10 yesterday. You know E2TG loves this band. Happy Birthday Liam!
