Some highly anticipated, high profile (at least in the E2TG world - I don't know much about the other worlds) releases this week.  As Darrin Bradbury approaches his 100th time being tagged on E2TG.

You know the drill - follow our Playlist on Spotify AND support the artist in more direct and meaningful ways as well.

E2TG 4/23/2021 - Featured Friday - Last Call Mix (Dirty Girl Remix)

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Time for another Featured Friday Playlist. This one is considerably shorter than last week's list, but it is crammed full of great new and recent music from old friends and new discoveries. As usual, the music crosses genre and geographic lines at will.  Please check it out. If so inclined, follow the playlist on Spotify. If you find music you like, support the artist(s)  by spending as you are able on music, merch, etc.  Spotify can be a great resource for sharing and discovering music but they do not sufficiently compensate artists for their work.

Wild Wednesday Morning Shuffle - Misdiagnosis Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Having been sick for the past several days, I finally felt well enough to venture out last night, and I made it to three different venues and saw some amazing music.

First stop was The Bowery Vault. I'm not sure how this was the first time I have visited this lovely venue. It is a vintage clothing store with a comfortable sitting area a  nice stage area - complete with a curtain!  Daphne Martin from Connecticut was passing through town - she is on tour with violinist Kieran Ledwidge. Wonderful music - featuring the guitarist who played on Martin's new album (who just happened to be in town, Andrew Sovine).

After that, I headed over to The Crying Wolf - for a show in their on-going SongNest series - hosted by Anana Kaye and Irakli Gabriel who performed with Brett Stewart and Rosemary Fosse. Their guests included Erica Blinn, Ryan Sobb, and Tommy Womack.  Talk about a heap of talent packed into one hour and a half show!

Finally, I headed to The 5 Spot to end my evening at $2 Tuesday - sadly, I didn't make it time to see Chris Moyse - one of my favorite songwriters, but I did get to catch Derek Hoke and his incredible band tear it up.   And I stayed for War Child - an East Nashville  supergroup of sorts who really rocked the house.

Happy to report that after all that I am still feeling spry today...

Let's get right into our Wild Wednesday shuffle - which lives up to the name.
