Tune in tomorrow to Greetings from Nashville on WXNA. We have a special show lined up.
Today's shuffle can be found after the jump.
"Up Arrow" by Gold Hick (from Formed at Depth - 2020)
I currently have over 9000 songs saved to my phone. So, it is a great coincidence that for the second day in a row our random shuffle begins with a track by Norwich UK artist Gold Hick from his 2020 album.
"Golden Child" by Mercy Bell (from Golden Child - 2021)
Next up, we have the title track from the 2021 album by Nashville singer-songwriter Mercy Bell.
"Good Intentions" by Malcolm Holcombe (from Tricks of the Trade - 2021)
The latest from legendary singer-songwriter Malcomb Holcombe is a good one, and this is a great track from that album.
"Promises from Our Sleep" by Bill Lloyd (from Feeling the Elephant (Remastered) - 2021)
Back in 1987, I bought Bill Lloyd's first solo album on vinyl. Then in the mid 1990s, I picked up the album on CD when it had been reissued by DB Records. Now, the album has been remastered with bonus tracks (including this one) added, and released on CD again. I now own three copies of this classic slice of Nashville power pop.
"Blue, Blue, Blue" by Noel McKay (from Blue Blue Blue - 2021)
Veteran Texas songwriter has been dividing his time between Austin and Nashville in recent years, and he has become a champion of Nashville songwriters. He will be playing a full-band show this evening at The 5 Spot. This is the title track from his album released last year.
"I Won't Change My Mind" by Remington Super 60 (from Nouvelle Nouveau - 2021)
Next up, we have the first single from an EP released just under a year ago by the Norwegian band Remington Super 60.
"I Don't Like You" by Gregory Dwane (from Gregory Dwane - 2021)
Next up, a track from the self-titled album by NYC singer-songwriter Gregory Dwane.
"She Devil" by Luciano Illuminati (from Terra Vision 2020 - 2020)
We were introduced to Virginia musician Luciano Illuminati a couple of years ago. Dig what he has going on.
"Bring Out the Barrel of Beer" by The Royal Hounds (from A Whole Lot of Nothin' - 2021)
And we close with a track from the recent album by Nashville's own The Royal Hounds.
