The Magnolia Roads American Roots Hoedown III kicks off in two days. We have been helping to spread the word about this cool event because:

1.  It features some awesome musicians - several of whom have been featured on E2TG
2. It's being held in two of my favorite places to hang out.
3. They asked if we would.
4. That's the kind of blog we are.

ICYMI,  I posted my review of For a Thousand Miles, the new album by Patrick Kinsley and A Fistful of Dollars which was released today.  You can read it by navigating to the last entry on this blog or read it at No Depression.  The No Depression piece leaves out some information of interest to Nashville readers - namely that the Album Release Show for this album will be tomorrow night (7/15) at 8:00 p.m. at the original Basement.

I had the great opportunity to hear some tracks from two of my most anticipated albums of the year, and man oh man are they going to be good... keep your ear to the ground or stay tuned to Ear to the Ground for new albums from Jon Latham and Darrin Bradbury in the future.

In other news, CXCW is rapidly approaching.  Get those videos made and submitted...

Now to the shuffle... as I have written on more than one occasion, I love short songs, but long songs make writing the blog easier...  we have a bevy of longer songs and thus we have only six in the shuffle today...

Thank goodness for second wind...  I think I may survive this week after all.  On another note, the temperature is about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time - welcome to winter in Nashville. I attended my first show at 3rd and Lindsley as a correspondent for No Depression/ND Roots.  My review should be up soon, I will post links on my Facebook page - so follow me there.
