"Box Full of Rocks" by Jason Erie (from Tiny Fires - 2022)
We start out with a track from one of my favorite albums of 2022. E2TG favorite Jason Erie. I have always loved Jason's songs, but on this album - recorded at Wirebird Studios- he really upped the ante on production.
"Parlez Vous" by K. Carter and TINO (from Safe Money EP - 2021)
From about a year ago, we have the results of a collaborations between two unique hip hop artists from the midwest. Cool stuff.
"Train Won't Wait For Me" by Ten Penny Gypsy (from Fugitive Heart - 2020)
Next up, we have a track from the 2020 album by award-winning Arkansas based duo and E2TG favorites Ten Penny Gypsy.
"Too Many Poor Theme" by Rusty Reid (from Head to Heart - 2019)
A Texas native now living in Seattle. Rusty Reid released the powerful statement album during a dark time. This is the lead track and a short instrumental introduction.
"Jigsaw Heart" by Joyann Parker (from Hard to Love - 2018)
Next, we go back to the 2018 sophomore album by this Minnesota based soul blues singer-songwriter. This was my introduction to Parker's great music.
"Good Morning, Well..." by SuperCrashingStar (from Digital Lo-Fi - 2017)
SuperCrashingStar were based in NYC when I first received a direct submission. They have since moved around and shuffled personnel somewhat, by the music has always intrigued me and they have been a favorite. If I recall, this is from an early listen that I got to this album. Just a great track and a reminder of why I love this band.
"Sleeping Alone" by UniversalDice (from Birth, Love, Hate, Death - 2016)
This from the 4th album and second rock opera by the New York band led by Gerry Dantone. UniversalDice use a classic rock style to make highly original rock and roll music.
"Medicine" by Jerry Castle (from Not So Soft Landing... - 2016)
And finally, the good timing award goes to.... I just learned that Nashville singer-songwriter Jerry Castle has a new single coming out in about a month. And this track from his 2016 album shows up in our shuffle.
