Wild Wednesday Morning Shuffle - Hey Lawdy Mama Mix (Moose Remix)

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

*Note: The video playlist at the bottom of the post attempts to closely approximate the shuffle I listened to on my way to work this morning. When a video for a song was not available, I substituted another song by the same artist. When I could not find any videos by an artist, I included a related video or did not include a video for that track. This blog may reference unreleased tracks, however, no unreleased music is ever included.

So, I have created a Spotify Playlist that highlights some of the music featured on E2TG in 2019.  I tried to pick one song for each artist. The playlist is currently over 10 hours long - which means we got to feature a lot of music this year. I will be finalizing the playlist over the long weekend and will use it for my December shuffles - recounting some of my faves of the year.  I think I will also start phasing in some of the new features of E2TG v3.0 which will fully go live in January.  For now, I am going to stay with Blogger but I may move to a new platform later.

Any way, let's close out this short week with a long Wild Wednesday shuffle that definitely lives up to the name...

Tuesday Morning Music Shuffle - #300 Tim Carroll Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

We've teamed up with The Finger to put on what we hope will be the first of many showcase events... it's going down tomorrow (Wednesday August 19, 2015) at The Building in East Nashville.  Details can be found at the Event Page on Facebook!

Yesterday, our Facebook Page crossed a milestone yesterday when we reached 300 followers.  Thanks to a groundswell, we are a mere 94 away from 400! Seriously, it means more to me than you will ever know.  When I started E2TG in May 2011, I honestly didn't know if anyone would read it.  Anyway, I promised surprises for the lucky 300th Follower.... in an incredible stroke of luck - the awesome Songwriter/Guitarist Tim Carroll was the lucky one!  It's kind of funny because when we reached 200, another great Songwriter/Guitarist, Richie Owens, was the one!

So... You can see, that the Tim Carroll's name graces the post title.  I think this is the first time a real person has had that "honor".  Who knows, now that I am big time, maybe I will start selling naming rights.... or maybe not...

It would have been cool if a Tim Carroll song had come up in the shuffle, but alas... still, I know there are some songs in today's shuffle that Tim will dig.

Wednesday Morning Music Shuffle - In any Language Mix

First off, let me be the first (okay not the first by far) to say that the notion that Nashville is a great town for music is not hype. I don't get out as often as I would like, but it seems like every time I do - amazing things happen.  Now, I don't think I am that lucky a guy (although pretty lucky all things considered) nor do I think my mere presence inspires such awesomeness to occur. Therefore, my conclusion has to be that remarkable, amazing, and awesome music happens all the time in Nashville (East, West, and all points in-between).

Last night, it was an incredible night of music at The Basement.  Nashville people (or anyone who finds themselves in Nashville on a Tuesday night) get yourselves down to The Basement (under Grimey's New and Pre-Loved Music) for New Faces night. Local and in-town artists of the Indie persuasion take the stage. Grimey curates, mans the soundboard... There was so much goodness last night, and I will definitely be back. I posted a bit about it over on Facebook. Miss Shevaughn and Yuma Wray were phenomenal.  They played at least two songs which will be on their next album - set for a spring '14 release - which were both really great.  Fun night...

Today's shuffle commences after the jump...
