Tomorrow is New Release Friday.  I am very excited that Kristen Englenz's new album Ingenue is being released!

As usual, lots of great live music in Nashville tonight. I wish I could do it all.  It is the last night of the Nick Nace Residency at Tennessee Brew Works. The last night of the Anana Kaye and Irakli Gabriel Residency at Bowery Vault, and the first (second?) ever show by Dirt Reynolds (Chris Watts, Ryan Dishen, Jason Paradise, Drew Kohl) at The 5 Spot with Matt Woods and 2018 E2TG Band of the Year The Big Dumb!

Back at it today.  I am sad to report that my father passed away over the weekend, and that has kept me away for a few days.

As always, music is a great solace. We likely won't get through the whole #2019Faves playlist before the end of the year, but you know what - there is no rule that says a end of the year recap needs to be complete before the end of the year.  So, we will just move forward and see where things take us.

Good morning.  It is Tuesday.  I had an enjoyable evening at Dee's in Madison.  Checking out Madison Guild Monday with Luisa Lopez, Tom Mason, Meghan Hayes, Mando Saenz, and Bob Lewis - with Megan Palmer making several guest appearances.

After that, I stayed for Cordovas who were remarkable as always.

A relatively short shuffle this morning due to some technical issues (i.e. apps not behaving like I want them to) but what are you going to do? Let's go!

The E2TG 8th Anniversary Residency wraps up tonight!

September 25 - Week 1: Ben Arthur + Conrad y Skordalia (SUCCESS!)

October 2 - Week 2: Ryan Sobb + Don Gallardo (Album Release Show)

October 9 - Week 3: The Truehearts + Jason Erie (SUCCESS!)

October 16 - Week 4:  Josh Gray  + Meghan Hayes (SUCCESS!)

October 23 - Week 5: Microwave Mountain + The Big Dumb (TODAY!!!!)

This is it!  The E2TG 8th Anniversary will wrap up its 5 week run at The 5 Spot with performances by The Big Dumb and Microwave Mountain. I am so stoked for this show.  The Big Dumb, you may recall, are the reigning E2TG Band of the Year, and Microwave Mountain are one of the best bands working in Nashville.

I took an unexpected day off yesterday, so for today's Wild Wednesday shuffle - we are going to pull from the "New Music" playlist.  Don't worry, it is pretty wild as it is.
