Well, it's Monday.  This morning we have eight songs that cross over genre lines, decades and degrees of popularity/obscurity/awesomeness. 4. Porcelain Raft is a London based solo project of Mauro Remiddi formerly of Sunny Day Sets Fires - an indie psychedelic pop band.

 2. Aerosmith is the band that that American Idol judge is or used to be in. You know the one that leers and looks kind of like Mick Jagger.

4. Nirvana were a Seattle-based grunge band. That Foo Fighters guy used to be in this band.
