Today's Music City Monday shuffle is pretty darn rad... check it out before the jump.
"Different, I Guess" by Lilly Hiatt (from Trinity Lane - 2017)
Trinity Lane was the breakout album by East Nashville favorite Lilly Hiatt.
"Foolish and Blue" by LadyCouch (from The Future Looks Fine - 2021)
One of my favorite bands of the moment - the variably sized band led by Allen Thompson and Keshia Bailey from their debut album.
"Slow Down, Keep Moving" by Palm Ghosts (from Loop Arcade - 2020)
Another favorite, and one of the best and most unique live bands in town these days. The band led by Joseph Lekkas and Ben Douglas.
"Alright - Remastered" by Bill Lloyd (from A Selection of Power Pop 1985-2020 - 2021)
From one of the undisputed kings of power pop - a song originally released on his 1994 album Set to Pop.
"The Profits Speak" by Slump Test (from Slump Test - 2020)
This song came up previously in a regular daily shuffle - off of the bootleg early version of the self-titled debut album. This is the official release. The band featuring Ben Douglas(again) and Ryan Dishen. Standard bearers of the burgeoning Nashville punk community.
