Next up, one of my favorite songs from Darrin Bradbury's excellent album Artvertisement.
"From Way Back" by Cameron Carrus (from The End of the World, Vol 2 - 2020)
Cameron Carrus moved to Nashville with Darrin Bradbury in late 2013. Last year, he made the move to New York City. This is from volume 2 of his solo bass album - recorded and released under quarantine.
"Joey and Clara" by Julie Christensen (from 11 from Kevin: Songs of Kevin Gordon - 2022)
I recently came across some photos from a night at Fran's Eastside, when Darrin, Cameron, Tim Carroll, Luella, and David Strayer used to play every Wednesday during 2014/2015. Julie Christensen sometimes came out, and that was around the time I got to know her. This is a track from her recent album of the songs of Kevin Gordon. A stylized version of a stylized photo I took of Julie graces the cover of the album. Also, Sergio Webb plays on this album.
"Trial by Fire" by Jeremy Ivey (from Invisible Pictures - 2022)
Jeremy Ivey signed to ANTI- Records around the same time Darrin Bradbury did. This is from Ivey's recently released third album for the label.
"Dayton, Ohio (1903)" by Josh Halper (from Alrightnik - 2020)
Josh Halper recently took a hiatus from his WXNA show. Lately he has been touring with Lilly Hiatt and playing solo sets when he is town.
"Dissatisfaction" by Great Peacock (from Forever Worse Better - 2020)
Next up, we have a track from the 2020 album by Great Peacock. Great Peacock are on of a large number of bands I first heard on the old Couch by Couchwest virtual festival.
"Pyramus and Thisbe" by Cold Equations (from Ghost Town - 2021)
A star-crossed lovers song from the indie/alternative album by Drew Kohl - who was also a regular attendee at those Fran's Wednesday night.
"Cerulean" by Jack Silverman (from Now What - 2021)
And, finally, we close with a track from guitarist Jack Silverman's excellent 2021 album. A version of this is the title track on the album by Nashville Ambient Ensemble.
