Well, it's been a little while. Thanks for bearing with me during my brief time away. I will be back to regular posting on Thursday, but I thought I would take a few minutes on this Saturday to listen to some songs from my "New Music Playlist". I shuffled up the playlist while I did some errands, and I ended up with 17 tracks. I will be rather brief, but if you hear or read about something you like - be sure to dig deeper and shoot me a line if you have any questions.

I'm running short on time... It's Tuesday where we take a look at what's "trending" on E2TG. By the way, my "New Music" playlist just topped 500 tracks. Which means I have a ton of new and newish music yet to be featured here.... it's a great problem to have - especially since I only add music I dig.

Okay.... it's been a pretty intense week. I don't know what the future holds... I am deeply disturbed by the ugly truths that have been exposed this week. And by the mind-blowing chasm that seems to grow wider every day. As I have said before, it is a chasm not only of ideals and values, but of perception of reality.
I don't know.... I do know that there are beautiful people in the world, and I am fortunate that circumstances have brought me into contact with some of those people. I know that I am profoundly fortunate. And, I am profoundly grateful for everyone who reads E2TG.
As you might have heard, there is a rare event happening Monday across the US, and Nashville is one of the largest if not the largest city in the path of totality. My favorite radio station, WXNA, has not failed to notice this event, and on Monday from 11-3pm WEclipseNA hosted by DJ Nekos will provide the soundtrack to the Eclipse.
If you need some Eclipse pre-gaming, tune in Saturday to Double Shot with me and Sue - we will be one for an extra hour 11-2pm with the theme (believe it or not coincidentally) of Night and Day. You might here some Eclipse songs, too.
It is Friday, and we shuffle up the "New Music" playlist for our Featured Friday shuffle.... join me in 3...2...1....

Featured Friday Morning Shuffle - Five More Minutes Mix

Well what the heck! It's Friday!
Next week, we will get back to the regular schedule for E2TG:
Monday - Music City Monday featuring all music connected to Nashville. Old stuff, new stuff, loose connections, maybe some connections that exist only in my head...
Tuesday - Trending Tuesday featuring songs from the "New Music" playlist. Mostly music submitted to me - occasionally a cool newish release that I just want to highlight. "New" is relative - although I will be occasionally taking out lingering songs that are over a year old. That being said, if it's relatively new and new to me, I will also add stuff a year or so old (or older in special cases). It is what it is okay?
Wednesday - Wild Wednesday - we go hog wild and shuffle up all the songs stored by my device. New, old, really old, well-known, obscure, weird, normal - it's all possible.
Thursday - Topical Thursday - we shuffle off a of pre-selected "Topic" playlist. For a few months, we had a unexplained topic built around the current events of the world (loosely or tightly connected), since May we have been shuffling up a special E2TG anniversary playlist - featuring one song each from 250 or so artists who have been featured in some way over the six years of our existence as a blog. This topic will continue until it changes.
Friday - Featured Friday (see Trending Tuesday - it's the same thing).
So today is Featured Friday and we have a pretty cool shuffle so let's go!

I am a bit short on time as I got out and enjoyed the weather at bit before the heat and humidity kicked in... I was 80% through my walk when it hit...
