So, I have continued to think about E2TG and what I can do differently. It is just something I do.

This space was meant to be a place for... well... that is a good question.  An introduction...  Originally, I thought this would be where I would post short recaps of live music, but... well you know how that one goes...

So, I have this idea to try starting next week.  We shall see.  That is what E2TG has always been a long-running experiment. I can't even begin to count how many "New Features" I have introduced only to abandon after a few (or even one) occurrences. Sometimes, ideas sound good in my brain but in reality they don't work out...

Anyway, tomorrow, we will unveil a new Featured Friday Playlist.  Remember you can follow the playlist on Spotify so you don't have to wait until I do my blog post tomorrow.

Thursday Morning Shuffle

A slightly longer and fun shuffle today... 

"Bad Days (Toad Session)" by The Black Tambourines (from Toad Session)

A 2012 live session from this UK band.  Great sound. 

"No Fool Like An Old Fool" by Glenn Jones (from Ready for the Good Times)

North Carolina artist from an album released earlier this year. 

"A Grief Ago" by Stuffy Shmitt (from Dog Steal the Moon)

Stuffy again. It is a good thing I like his music because the shuffle keeps bringing him up. But, I do like him, a lot. Facebook tells me that we have been friends for 4 years today. 

"We Will Again" by The Flyin' A's (from No Holds Barred)

A 2020 release - The Flyin' A's are a duo from Texas. Their album came out in February. 

"Unclear" by Viva Death (from Illuminate)

Viva Death iws a band made up of members of Face to Face including Scott Shiflett. His brother Chris (Foo Fighters) has also been a member of this band at times. Cool stuff. This is a 2018 release.

"The Invisible Hand" by Motihari Brigade (from Power from Below)

A number of 2020 releases in the shuffle including this January release from Motihari Brigade who play their unique brand of revolutionary rock. They are tight-lipped wuth details of their whereabouts, but they are generous with information about where their name and sound come from. 

"You Know Who You Are'" by John Rey Reed (from Learnin' to Drive The Truck)

Another track from this album that made its way to me at a Christmas party Reed is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter by way of Austin, Texas. 

"Torn in Two" by Hurricane Ruth (from Good Life)

We close with a first listen to an upcoming release. Good Life is due out July 10.  Hurricane Ruth is a blues artist originally from Illinois and currently based in St. Louis. This song was written by Gary Nicholson.  The album also has a song written by my friend Karen Leipziger, Freda McCrary, and Irene Kelley. Eight of the songs were written or co-written by Hurricane Ruth herself.
