It is time for another Music City Monday - featuring music from Nashville of various genres and eras. Some newer and newish music in this week's shuffle.

Music City Monday Shuffle:

"Move" by Lilly Hiatt (from Walking Proof)

At this point, the fact that Lilly Hiatt is John Hiatt's daughter is secondary to the fact that she is one of the best songwriters around today. Her latest album Walking Proof further establishes Hiatt as a force to be reckoned with. 

"The Tell" by Paul Burch & WPA Ballclub (from Light Sensitive)

Paul Burch's place in Nashville music history is set. This latest album proves once again that he is a living history with chapters yet to be written. 

"Opening Day" by Peter Cooper (from Opening Day)

Nashville journalist and songwriter Peter Cooper wrote one of the best baseball songs ever a few years back. I had been planning to play to this on Greetings from Nashville on opening day, but this darn virus put a stop to those plans. Still, it is never a bad time to hear "Opening Day".

"Fire & Brimstone" by Andrew Adkins (from To Become Immortal Then Die)

Andrew Adkins has been hard at work on some new music for several months. I am not exactly sure where he is with COVID-19 and all that, but I know I look forward to hearing what he has up his sleeve. 

"Songs for Nobody" by Nathan Kalish (from Songs for Nobody)

Singer-songwriter had been on my radar, but his latest album has really captured my attention. This title track is a flat out great song. Dig it.
