A windy morning here in Nashville... This evening, I will be recording a Double Shot show which will air this coming Saturday - the theme: "Play a Train Song"....
After that, it is the first $2.00 Tuesday and Earie Award winners Adrian + Meredith are on the bill. Lots of other good stuff happening. Amelia White and Sergio Webb at The Family Wash 8:30-9:00 (which I will try to catch if I can get from Madison soon enough).
We have a Trending Tuesday Shuffle - let's go!
"All That I Require" by Radney Foster
This is the only track in this shuffle that was not submitted (or handed) to me for inclusion, but it was too good to pass up. I first became aware of Radney Foster when he was 1/2 of the country duo Foster and Lloyd back in the late 80s/early 90s. I had already been a fan of Bill Lloyd. This is a powerful song about what happens when history is not learned. Unfortunately, it is all too timely.
"Take Me High" by Laurence Jones
Next up, the title track from the latest album by UK blues/rock virtuoso, Laurence Jones.
"Can't Help but Wonder Where I'm Bound" by Ivas John
Next, we have a track from Good Days a Comin', the latest album from Ivas John of Carbondale, Illinois.
"Soldiers in the Army of Mercy and Peace" by Joe Kidd and Sheila Burke
I was pretty sure this song had come up before, but anyway, it is a great song with a great message for these troubled times.
"Family Man" by Mike Cullison
Starting off a run of Nashville-based artists, we have Mike Cullison with another great track from Front Porch Philosophy. Love this song.
"Never" by Eight O'Five Jive
E2TG faves Eight O'Five Jive will be releasing their latest album Swing Set later this month, we continue to sneak peak some of the tunes. It's another excellent one from Nashville's premier jump blues band.
"Tucumcari Tonight" by Brian Langlinais
Another day, another Brian Langlinais song from Right Hand Road. Tucumcari is located in New Mexico.
"Make It Through" by Reckless Johnny Wales
We close things out with another taste of the forthcoming Reckless Johnny Wales album, 5 Star Meat and Three. We have a live video of this song with Reckless Johnny accompanied by Chris Tench.
