Well, I ventured out to live music for the second time last night and saw a lot of familiar faces that I had not seen in some time. It was amazing even as we are all still feeling our way through the new normal.
But, with that new normal - today I have returned to my office after 14 months or so of working from home. Short shuffle today - because I forgot my headphones... it's hard to remember all the things that used to be a daily routine.

"Never Again" by Sideshow (from Sideshow EP - 199?)
First up, a bit of Nashville history. A track from the band Sideshow which was the first Nashville band of drummer extraordinaire Brad Pemberton and which also featured Scott Feinstein of Shadow 15. I couldn't find a YouTube clip appropriate to represent this, but here is a soundcloud embed of this track.
"All Mixed Up" by The Asteroid No. 4 (from Northern Songs - 2020)
A track from the 10th studio album from the psych rock band that formed in Philadelphia but which is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
"Find Another Way" by Tom Morello (feat. Marcus Mumford) (from The Atlas Underground - 2018)
This one came to me via a friends annual mix CD from 2018. From the 4th solo album by Tom Morello (Rage against the Machines) from this track he is joined by Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Songs. I think Marcus is the father not one of the Mumford sons, but I'm not sure.
"Baby I Love You" by Robert Gay and the Alarms (from How to Make a Memory - 2020)
And, we close out this shortened shuffle with a track from the early 2020 release from Nashville's Robert Gay and the Alarms - fronted by Robert Gay who can often be found playing trumpet with bands like Lady Couch and others.
