Featured Friday Playlist recap (part 1 - here we go again) (songs 1-15):

1. "Calumet Queen" by Kiely Connell
I have been a fan of Kiely Connell's voice and songs for several years now, so I am so excited she just released this single and has a new album coming.  I first saw her perform just about seven years ago exactly - on the same night I first met Jon Latham, Taylor Alexander, Drew Kohl, and Brian Peck of Fendrick and Peck.  It was at Belcourt Taps on a Sunday night, and I was mesmerized by her songs and her powerful vocals. This is a great song, and I look forward to hearing much more.
2. "All in All" by The Delevantes
Bob and Mike Delevante began their career in New Jersey in 1988 and moved to Nashville in 1992. They were a huge part of the Nashville community for most of the 1990s and into the 2000s.  After a decade long hiatus, the brothers returned supporting Garry W. Tallent of the E Street Band.  Tallent and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' keyboardist Benmont Tench have been part of their band. I got to see The Delevantes backing Tallent at The 5 Spot just before the pandemic.  A Thousand Turns which came out today, is the band's first album in over 20 years, and they sound better than ever.
3. "Back To The Beginning (Feat. Machaela Nesler)" by Tim McNary
Tim McNary is one of a handful of artists I featured on E2TG and then almost coincidentally got to know in person later. I am pretty sure I first met him at Jon Latham's house. McNary has a new single out, and it sounds amazing.
4. "Lay It on Down" by DeeOhGee
DeeOhGee spells great music. A new single from Matthew Paige, Zach Murphy, and Dylan Whitlow is always a cause for celebration, and the message of this song came at a perfect time for me.
5. "That Lucky Old Sun" by Tommy Womack
New Tommy Womack music - fellow WXNA DJ, legendary singer-songwriter, and member of Government Cheese, Daddy, and The Bisquits (what am I missing).
6. "Traveling After Dark" by Aaron Lee Tasjan
Next up, we have Aaron Lee Tasjan from with a song from a tribute album to the late great Neal Casal.
7. "Where You Belong" by Rory D'Lasnow
New Jersey singer-songwriter Rory D'Lasnow has a great new single.
8. "Falling Man" by Randy Lewis Brown
We featured Texas singer-songwriter Randy Lewis Brown and his 2019 album Red Crow.  His latest single in inspired by the events of 9/11 which was 20 years ago this past weekend.
9. "Now You're Gone" by Sour Ops
New music from the Nashville band yet by Price Harrison.
10. "Chicken Scratch Love Letter" by Moxie Pocket
The title track from the new EP by the Connecticut band that features Hayden Nork on drums.
11. "Strut" by The Serpenteens
Nashville rock duo - The Serpenteens just released their debut single ahead of their debut album Revolution which is due in October. Great stuff.
12. "Back Behind the Wheel" by The Barefoot Movement
The traditional music inspired band The Barefoot Movement just released their new album Pressing Onward, and this is the lead track.
13. "Doom & Bloom" by Dude Safari
We have been featuring this UK band for several months beginning with their debut single "Bug Hunter".  They are back with a new single, and a great reminder of what a wonderful band they are.
14. "Any Day Now" by Divine Horsemen
E2TG favorite Julie Christensen reunited with Chris D to reform the legendary California band Divine Horsemen.  Their new album Hot Rise of an Ice Cream Phoenix is incredible, and even better the album includes a cover of a Tim and Susan Lee song - which was originally included on the Tim Lee 3 album Devil's Rope which we reviewed back in February 2013.
15. "Hertz" by Amyl and the Sniffers
And finally, my friend Mary first told me about this band a few years back.  Flashforward, and the now red hot band from Melbourne - has a new album and are all the rage at WXNA and beyond. The album Comfort to Me came out last Friday.
