Please join us on Wednesday October 6 at 6pm at The 5 Spot in East Nashville as E2TG presents: Bill Bloomer and Stuffy Shmitt (full band).  It will be the first show we have hosted in nearly two years and promises to be a great night of songs and music.   $10 cover, 21+, proof of vaccination or negative test required, and doors will open by 5:30pm.  Music will start promptly at 6, so do not be late. 

Time for another Featured Friday Playlist.  A busy week, so the list is a bit shorter than usual, eventually I will catch up - maybe.  Regardless, we have some great new and recent music in the mix.

Featured Friday Playlist recap (part 1 - Start) (songs 1-9)

1. "I Started Building" by Microwave Mountain

First up, we have a cool new thing from E2TG favorites Microwave Mountain.  5 new singles and videos in 5 days starts now with this track. 

2. "Angola Prison" by Nathan Bell

Signal Mountain, Tennessee based singer-songwriter Nathan Bell always has things to say, and he always says them brilliantly via songs that speak truth. His latest album is calleed Red, White and American Blues (it couldn't happen here). This is the opening track of the album. 

3. "Pay It Forward" by Tommy Womack

Next up, the latest single from Tommy Womack's new album I Thought I Was Fine (out October 15). 

4. "Persistent Ghosts" by Ben Arthur

E2TG favorite Ben Arthur - who played one of our shows two years ago, has a new single.  It's a good one. 

5. "Navy Blue" by Sour Ops

Next up, another new single from Nashville's Sour Ops - led by Price Harrison. 

6. "Kazoo" by The Danbury Lie

E2TG favorite (our sixth most tagged artist of all time) is back with a new EP called Quicksand, and this is the opening track. 

7. "Orange Crush" by Ritual Cloak

Next up, the Cardiff based electronic post-rock duo Ritual Cloak recently released this cover the R.E.M. song (from their Green album). A great cover. 

8. "I Believe in Peace" by Shayfer James, Kate Douglas

The Ninth Hour EP is the latest from long-time E2TG favorite Shayfer James and featuring Kate Douglas - a writer, composer, and performer. 

9. "Mysterious Love" by Livingmore

And, we close this opening segment of new and recent music with the latest single from L.A. band Livingmore - which features Spencer Livingston who has been an E2TG favorite since the earliest days of the blog.
