One of my all-time favorite songs starts off this shuffle.
"The Good Part" by Bark (from Terminal Everything - 2019)
Good timing as I just started reading Tim Lee's book I Saw a Dozen Faces... and I Rocked Them All: The Diary of a Never Was. This song could be my theme song. At an age when a lot of people seem to be winding down their lives, I feel like I haven't even gotten to the good part yet, but things are getting good now.
"Prairie Doctor and The Gunman" by Garrett Wieland (from What Keeps The Heart Afloat - 2021)
The second album by Texas songwriter Garrett Wieland was released back in June. This is a really cool track from that album.
"I'm a Hip Girl" by Xander Cameron (from Rebel RM Roseme - 2021)
UK dark pop artist Xander Cameron is up next with a track from his first EP.
"Neil (You Can Depend on Me" by John Howard (from Collected - The Best of John Howard - 2021)
Next up, we have a song that was recorded in 1996 but not released until 2008 from a UK artist who may not be a household name, but who has an impressive body of work - on display in this recently issued 2 CD compilation.
"Long Drag Shantey" by The King's Pond Shantymen (from Hold Your Course - 2020)
And... nothing like a Shanty to close out the day. From the UK band that specializes in Shanties.
