My power was off for about seven hours yesterday evening - so I didn't get to do my usual prep work for today's post (which you don't really know about but anyway), so time is tight today... bear with me.

Today, we recap the nexr segment of the Featured Friday Playlist (songs 23-29)
23. "Enter the Animal" by Biomechanimal
First up in this segment, we have the latest single from UK based electro-industrial band Biomechanimal. This hard driving song has been a staple of the band's live shows for some tome.
24. "Start over Again" by Paul Gillings
Former World Harmonica champion and singer-songwriter Paul Gillings with a track from his new electric blues album Invisible Prison.
25. "Melting" by A Shoreline Dream
Colorado-based shoegaze/post punk band A Shoreline Dream - return to E2TG with the 2nd single and title track from their new album.
26. "Locked in the Panopticon" by Reardon Love
Next up, we have a UK artist with an 80s new wave feel. Cool stuff.
27. "We Share the Same Stars" by The Sea at Midnight
Next up, we have the recent single from L.A. based The Sea at Midnight - led by Vince Grant. The band's eponymous album is due later this fall.
28. "Wake Me Up When This Year's Over" by KC Beck
Austin based singer-songwriter and army veteran KC Beck echoes what many of us are feeling about 2020 - on his new single.
29. "Prelude To a Dream" by Eito
We close this segment of music with a track from the recent single by Pittsburgh based battle MC Eito - whose music mixes grime, boom bap, and house. A great way addition to the playlist and great wrap up for this segment of music.

Featured Friday Playlist
Wednesday Morning Shuffle
"If I Were In a Novel" by Ben Bostick (from Among the Faceless Crowd)
We recently featured a track from Georgia-based Bostick's previous album. Today, we have a track from his most recent release which was released back in April. This album was a big change of pace from his last album - I dig both albums, and I really like this song a lot.
"Every Time" by Greg Felden (from Made of Strings)
Next up, we have a track from this 2019 release by the L.A. based singer-songwriter. A favorite of mine from last year.
"Why Can't It Be Love" by Flatmates (Flatmates)
UK band Flatmates released their debut full-length album back in March at the front-end of the global shutdowns. The album came just 34 years after the indiepop legends played their first show. On my list of favorites of 2020.
"The Cocoon of the Buffoon" by Carrus & Kurtz (from The Genius of... Vol. 4: The Humanity of Humility)
A nice pedal steel and bass instrumental for a rushed Wednesday morning. This is volume 4 of the on-going? The Genius of... series from Cameron Carrus and Adam Kurtz. Normally busy touring musicians, they have used their forced downtime to make some delightful music perfect for closing out my radio show.
"Thanks" by Batkhi Dahn (from Oil Change)
I swear to dog I do not plan this! It was all the shuffle's doing. Batkhi Dahn was one of the first (solo projects of Foresters bassist Hayden Nork). This is, I suppose, the last track from his 2016 release. It is literally some "thanks" and other stuff... The crazy part is that today is Hayden's 19th birthday! I have been following the Nork family's musical journeys for almost eight years now - which means Hayden was eleven when I was first introduced to their music. Nork's most recent (I think) solo project is Merrill Beach - but he has been a part of more bands that I can keep track of - although I have featured most of them). This non-song track is available on YouTube - in fact it isn't available on bandcamp - so maybe I made it up. *shrug*
