Wednesday Morning Shuffle

"Toxic" by Ivan Moult (from What More Could I Say?/Toxic - 2020)
First up today, we have the b-side of a 2020 single from this Welsh singer-songwriter. Good stuff.
"Elmore James" by Tim Easton (from American Fork - 2016)
A favorite song of mine from East Nashville favorite Tim Easton - about the blues guitarist, singer and songwriter who was known as the King of the Slide Guitar.  This is the last song we have to feature from Easton's excellent 2016 album.
"Long Tongue Girl" by The Weatherman (from It Sounds Like Stargazing Pop - Vol. 1 - 2020)
Next up, we have a track from the 2020 compilation by this Portuguese singer-songwriter.
"Caterpillar" by David Olney (from Nevermore - 2022 - Not yet released)
This was my first listen to the second of two upcoming final releases from the late, great David Olney.  Both albums were recorded live in the Netherlands with Olney's long-time sideman bassist Daniel Seymour. Evermore - the first of the two album is due May 13, and this album Nevermore is due out June 10.  Of course, I can't share the actual music with you (the video playlist has the 1995 studio version of the song), but I can tell you it sounds amazing, and the two albums are a fitting tribute to one of the best songwriters and performers.
"Patriocrisy" by The Smoking Flowers (from Patriocrisy - 2021)
Next, the title track to the politically charged 2021 EP by the Nashville duo of Kim and Scott Collins.
"Drink to Forget Things I've Done" by Melancholic Zombie (from This Time Another Night - 2021)
I played a track by Melancholic Zombie on the radio yesterday - this is a track from a 2021 album by the Finnish band.
"Mirrorball" by The Catenary Wires (from Birling Gap - 2021)
The UK indie-pop band with a lovely song about 80s Disco - from their excellent 2021 album.
"So Far Away" by Ed Ryan (from Don't Follow Where They Lead - 2021)
Next up, a track from the July 2021 release from power pop icon Ed Ryan (The Rudies).
"Nuke Laloosh" by The 81s (from 2 Things & 118 Others - 2020)
And finally, we have a track from the third collaborative album between lyricist Tom Siering and composer Tim Carroll.  A great way to close out this shuffle.
