Magnolia Roads Presents American Roots Hoedown VII is just three days away. The event kicks off Friday April 29 at Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge. The event kicks off at 4pm and the music starts at 5. $10 cover 21+
Our highlighted artist from Friday night is Matt Mann & The Shine Runners who are set to take the stage at 10:20pm.
Matt Mann and The Shine Runners are an American rock band residing in Nashville, TN. Formed in Los Angeles in November 2011 by singer/songwriter and Oklahoma native, Matt Mann, the band made the move to Music City in 2018. With influences ranging from the Rolling Stones, Skynryd, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Matt Mann and The Shine Runners deliver their brand of raucous and memorable blues-rock music to enthusiastic crowds. Their bluesy, boozy, two guitar rock sounds transports listeners back into the early seventies, making their music timeless. Matt’s unique style of singing gives the band an authentic sound and sets them apart from other mainstream rock ‘n’ roll bands.

"Silent Talk" by RUINS (from Pure At Heart - June 2022)
The Liverpool duo RUINS are set to release their second album on June 17. It follows their debut album which was released in 2018. The music has a heady, updated 80s synth vibe. This is also a good to time to remind you that E2TG never posts unreleased music. The music we share is always from a video or streaming service. So, the RUINS are represented in our video playlist by a track from their debut album.

Next up, we have a 2020 single from this Australian band.
"Farewell Maggie Valley" by Dan Weber (from The Way the River Goes - 2022)
Maggie Valley is located in Western North Carolina in the area surrounding Asheville. Dan Weber is currently based in Texas, and this is from his third studio album released earlier this year.
"Oh Angelina!" by Tom Shotton (from Forever Home - 2021)
Next up, we have a track from a late 2021 release which we got hold of in early 2022. Tom Shotton is a South London based singer-songwriter. The album is his solo debut album.
"Fixed Idea" by Cindy (from Free Advice - 2020)
Bay Area band Cindy has become a favorite over the past couple of years. This is from their 2020 album. The original vinyl version of the album sold out quickly and a reissue was ordered equally quickly. The band third album 1:2 was released in late 2021.
"On the Wings of the Morning (feat. Belle McNulty)" by Monks Road Social (from Humanism - 2020)
Next up, a beautiful song featuring jazz/soul singer Belle McNulty by the super group which features members of Blow Monkeys, Style Council, Galliano, Brand New Heavies, and Mother Earth.
"Streetlight" by Bitter Defeat (from Minor Victory - 2021)
Next up, we have the debut EP by this band from New Zealand. Great stuff.
"Palm Tree on the Drywall" by Heidi Serwer (from Palm Tree on the Drywall - 2022)
And, we close with a February 2022 release from this Chicago-based singer-songwriter. A great song to close us out for today.
