American Roots Hoedown VII
This years Hoedown is almost upon us. Three nights, three venues, over 25 different artists.
Night 2 - the Hoedown returns to it's roots at The 5 Spot in East Nashville. One of the featured performers for Night 2 is Chip Greene.
Raised on the southern outskirts of Nashville, Chip Greene grew up with a very different kind of Music City looming in the distance. The construction cranes and high-rise condos— now a ubiquitous part of Nashville’s ever-growing skyline — wouldn’t pierce the horizon for another decade or more, and creative-minded people were still in charge. It was there, in a city fueled by art and filled with starry-eyed musicians, that Greene launched his career as a piano-pounding songwriter, reshaping the influences of his childhood — including Billy Joel, Charlie Rich, U2, and Bruce Springsteen — into his own brand of smoky, salt-of-the-earth rock & roll.

Long-time E2TG favorite - previously released music under the Ponyboy moniker. This is a 2020 release that she put out under her own name.
"Things Change" by Caitlin Rose (from Own Side Now - 2011)
Next up, from the classic album by the East Nashville favorite - the album celebrated it's 10th anniversary last year.
"Feels Like Yesterday" by Steve Schultz (from Small Batch, Vol. 1 EP - 2021)
Piano based singer-songwriter Steve Schultz from his 2021 release.
"Honky Tonking" by Mr. MPH (from Mr. MPH - 2022)
