First Ever Band of the Month Readers Poll

Can we have a sidebar please?  After the success of last month Band of the Year poll, and the thought of trying to manage a poll for 52 Bands of the Week for this year, I have decided to have a Band of the Month for each month December 2011 to November 2012.  Each Band of the Month will added to the Band of the Year poll the first week of December 2012.

Last week, I was lazy busy okay lazy and did not name a Band of the Week.  It was definitely not for lack of deserving bands.  Look for Band of the Week to resume later this week.

In the meantime, if you will kindly direct your gaze to the left side of the screen (if you're reading this in a feed reader, you will have to visit the site), I have posted a handy dandy little poll which is waiting on your participation.  It's going to be open about a week.

To assist you, here is a recap:

Week 1:  The Dead Exs - The Dead Exs are an exciting blues based rock band from the New York/New Jersey area.  Their sound reminds me of early Jason & the Scorchers and Georgia Satellites if those bands were influenced by Muddy Waters more than Hank Williams. Here is a link to their website.

Week 2: In Cages - also come from the New York/New Jersey area.  They are a brand new band with a hard, alternative sound and the unique sound of the cello.  Visit, In Cages here.

Week 3: Jesse Payne - bringing it back to the new South... Jesse Payne hails from Birmingham. He has a beautiful minimalistic sound, but he also knows how to rave it up when that is needed.  Hit him up here.

Week 4: Spencer Walters - Midwest singer/songwriter makes simple beautiful music that comes from his heart. They are good songs, too.  So, head over here to check him out.

Now head over to the sidebar and vote!
