Featured Friday Morning Shuffle - Sh*t Just Got Real Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

#Resist #Persist

Got to catch a solo set by Jon Latham last night followed by hanging with some friends and watching Aaron Lee Tasjan make his television debut on Conan.  It was great to see Brian Wright get some camera time.

It is Friday.  We have some "featured" selections shuffled from the "New Music" playlist...

"You're Gonna Make Me Cry" by Vanessa Collier

Vanessa Collier returns to the shuffle for the second time this week with a track from her forthcoming album Meeting My Shadow.  She is from Maryland.

"Hallelujah" by Simone Corazzari of Le Folli Arie (feat. Gianluca Del Fiol)

A gorgeous cover of the Leonard Cohen classic by Simone Corazzari of the Italian band Le Folli Arie who we have featured several times. Joined here by guitarist and arranger Gianluca Del Fiol.

"Play a Tune" by The Coal Porters

Another lovely tune from No. 6 - the latest album by The Coal Porters.

"Things in the City" by Luxury Mane

Next up, we have another track from Lux Runnin Out - by the highly original Luxury Mane from St. Petersburg, Florida.

"Louisiana Love" by Brian Langlinais

Some sweet bayou blues grooves from Right Hand Road - the latest album by East Nashville by way of Lafayette, LA songwriter/performer Brian Langlinais. Catch him every Wednesday in February at The 5 Spot - 6-8pm.

"Shit Just Got Real" by AJ Hobbs

From Too Much Is Never Enough - which is due out in a week. I got to see AJ at The 5 Spot recently - backed a band that included all three members of Buck n Stuff, and I can attest that he is the real deal.  In lieu of this song - which gives it name to today's shuffle, check out AJ - with said band (including Buck n Stuff) on Nashville's NBC affiliate from the same week that I saw them at The 5 Spot.

"Everyone Dies" by Marla Mase

And we close out the shuffle and the week with E2TG favorite Marla Mase and a track from her latest album Miracles: Lost and Found.  Check out the wonderful video for this song.

(I am having some technical issues with the Video embed. In case it does not work, you can check out the playlist HERE.)
