#E2TG6 Coming May 2017 - Details soon!

Greetings from a rainy Tuesday.  Last night, I attended the premiere (I think) edition of Madison Guild Mondays at Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge.  Last night was hosted by none other than 2014 E2TG Artist of the Year Darrin Bradbury.  Songwriters featured included: Zach Schmidt, Adam Kurtz (of Buck N Stuff fame), Tim Easton, Don Gallardo, Matt Haeck, Steven Knudson, Javi Jones, Jon Latham and more. Darrin closed the night joined by Laur Joamets on guitar.

I will probably be ranting more tomorrow about the insanity in which we find ourselves. Until then: #Resist!

It is Tuesday and time to shuffle up some songs from the "New Music" playlist. Enjoy! (by the way, I could not find many of the exact songs on YouTube - so enjoy a mix of other songs by the artists featured)...

"Dig a Little Deeper" by Vanessa Collier

Jumping from my mailbox to the shuffle in just over 12 hours!  We have a track from the forthcoming album from singer/songwriter/saxophone player Vanessa Collier.  This morning was my first listen, and I am digging this.  The music is blues mixing in elements of soul and more. The album is called Meeting My Shadow - out soon on Ruf Records - a German label that has given us some great music of late.

"Sarah and Julie" by Joe Goodkin

Next up, a powerful song about mortality and humanity and illness from singer-songwriter Joe Goodkin. a Chicago artist.  His latest release Record of Loss will have it's CD Release show in Chicago on Thursday night.

"Am I Demon" by Ron Gallo

Next up, the E2TG debut of Ron Gallo - a Nashville by way of Philly - Rock and Roll band who released Heavy Meta on New West Records last week.  You can check out a sampler on Noisetrade right now. I first experienced Ron Gallo at The 5 Spot some time back, and I was blown away.  They are getting some good positive buzz, and it is very well deserved.

"Spike Drivers Blues" by Taj Mahal

Another track from Labor of Love by the one and only Taj Mahal.  This is an album that was recorded several years ago and just recently released in collaboration with the fine folks at Music Makers Relief Foundation.

"Pushing My Will" by Jesse and Noah

Moving on, we have another track from Southern Usonia which is the latest from Jesse and Noah who are based in Nashville by way of Austin by way of Florida.

"That Man Got Gold" by Rich Robbins

This is a track from the sophomore album All. This. Gold. which was released back in July of 2016. Rich Robbins is a young rapper from Chicago.  E2TG readers were first introduced to his music a few years back when he performed under the name Christian Robins.

"Baby Robot (Chris Frain Remix)" by Rodney Cromwell

Rodney Cromwell is a indie/electronica artist from South London.  This is a track from his release Fax Message Breakup.  Chris Frain is from Boulder, CO - and responsible for this remix.

"Rhetorical Hollow" by The Transcendents

And E2TG favorites The Transcendents of New Zealand - return to the shuffle with a track from their latest EP The Sun is Still Asleep which was released earlier last year.  The band has just released a compilation of their 3 most  recent releases...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    VIDEO PLAYLIST
