So... yeah, this is the 400th post since we switched over to Blogger.

And it's Friday and I'm unexpectedly off work today, so I did one of those random smart playlists on I-tunes selecting from my entire collection and here are the songs that came out.
Thank You for Sending Me An Angel is the opening track from Talking Heads second album and the first of three produced by Brian Eno, More Songs about Buildings and Food. Released in 1978, the album also included the band's of the Al Green/Mabon "Teenie" Hodges song, Take Me to the River.
The one and only Charlie "Yardbird" Parker is up next with Moose the Mooch/Lullaby of Birdland.
Moose the Mooch is was written by Parker, while Lullaby of Birdland was written about Parker and the legendary jazz club which which was named for him by George Shearing.
The Fresh and Onlys are a San Francisco indie band that formed in 2008. Their latest album is entitled Long Slow Dance which was released on the Mexican Summer label at the end of this past summer. Do What You Came to Do is the final track on that album.

Nashville singer-songwriter Matthew Perryman Jones is part of the Ten out of Ten collective. Home appears on the 4th Volume of songs released under the Ten out of Tenn name.
