Another example of life handing you pickles and being able to make burgers or something... any way, since we last spoke life has happened and as a result there was no Morning Shuffle yesterday. Last night, we created a quick and awesome Smart Playlist from the good folks at Apple. Say what you will, they know how to develop a damn fine Smart Playlist.... unfortunately, I ran out of time to post about the list and now it's time for a new shuffle but I wanted to share the first two songs from that Smart Playlist:
Our good friends, The End Men with Build it Up, the song that started it all for us. 2013 is looking to be the year of The End Men - a new album due in or around February 2013 and more to come.
One of several of my favorite Bowie songs, Suffragette City from The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Now to today's shuffle:
Featured Artists - The Ugly Club released an EP in 2011 called Visions of Tall Girl. The song Visions Part I begins today's shuffle.
You can never ever have too much Chuck Berry - so today we have one of his best known songs, Rock and Roll Music. It was originally on his second album, One Dozen Berrys.
Here's Chuck Berry with the formidable Etta James
Chance McCoy is currently a member of Old Crow Medicine Show. Today we have his solo record with The Appalachian String Band - Dance All Night (with a Bottle in Your Hand) is from the album Debut. Which is yours for an e-mail (and an optional "tip") from the good folks over at Noisetrade.
Dark bluesy Rockers and current Featured Artists, The Chaw close out our set of music today with a ballsy instrumental called In the Valley from their recently released self-titled debut album.
Here is the Kickstarter Video for the album
