Trending Tuesday Morning Shuffle - Weakness and Strength Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

I didn't post the link yesterday, but if you are on Facebook - here is the Event page for the #E2TG 5 Year Anniversary show...  Actually, it is the event page whether or not you are on Facebook... but anyway...

We have a great Trending Tuesday shuffle...  let's dive in....

"Achilles" by Zachariah Red

I was fortunate enough to premiere the new video from Zachariah Red last week.  Here he is with another track from the outstanding Backbone album.  "Every man has a weakness..."

"The River" by Ted Drozdowski's Scissormen

I was fortunate to run into Ted and his lovely wife on Sunday, and to celebrate, my shuffle function pulled this track which is on a sampler called Stink Eye available from Noisetrade.  I have always felt a deep connection to rivers for some reason. I even got to live near the Cumberland in downtown Nashville for a year or so back in the dark ages of the early 90s.

"I'm Not Your Man" by Sammy Brue

Sammy Brue was recently signed to New West records - joining a pretty damn impressive line-up at the label with offices in Athens, GA and Nashville, TN.  The 14 year old wunderkind will be making his first Nashville appearance since signing with New West (I think) tonight at The Basement for New Faces night.  Levi Parham who we had in a shuffle last week will also be appearing.  Gets underway around 8pm.

"Following a Sign (the Preacher's Wife)" by Kevin Gordon

This is a bonus track from the Long Gone Time CD release.  The vinyl LP version just became available and contains another bonus track and the album's intended song order (acoustic and electric sides) have been restored.  This is one of my favorite songs on the CD and reason enough in my opinion to upgrade your digital copy to at least the CD if not the LP.  Truly one of the best Nashville albums of 2015.

"Believe in Me" by Jason P. Krug

We have another track from one of my favorite albums of 2016 - The Zen of Losing by Jason P. Krug formerly of The Grimm Generation.  Man this song hit me right in my feelings...

"Acid Fight" by Eno G

Eno G is a synth, pop, funk artist from Liverpool by way of Seoul, South Korea.  This is a really fun track... check him out.  Eno G will be performing in Liverpool tomorrow at the Paul McCartney Auditorium for The 2ube Xtra showcase.

"The Revolution" by Tomas Doncker

Tomas Doncker is calling bullshit about the revolution looking for corporate sponsorship... From his powerful album, The Mess We Made.
