Heading into a three day stay-at-home weekend.  I will be back tomorrow with a brand new Featured Friday playlist.  If you follow the playlist on Spotify, I usually update just after midnight or early in the morning if I fall asleep before midnight.  (Midnight is when most new releases go live) - so you can check it before post it on the blog.  I have a good "on-deck" list with several new releases set to hit.

Grant Peeples latest album is a tribute to songwriters who happen to be female. This is a cover of an Alicia McGovern song.

"Rebound" by Kristen Englenz (from Ingenue)

Full disclosure - my shuffle actually brought up the version of this song from The Extent of Play - but since the video is for the more recent version from Ingenue, I just changed it... (I make the rules so I can break the rules).  We have another Kristen Englenz song coming up in just a second.

"Lakes" by The Infinite Three (from Foam EP)

This is from a 2018 EP by the UK post-punk band. Cool stuff...

"You Are Not Alone" by Wayne Hussey (from Digital Press Pack)

From the lead singer of The Mission and guitarist of Sisters of Mercy - a track I received as part of a promotional package. It was originally released on Songs of Candlelight and Razorblades a 2014 album attributed to Hussey.

"Ready for the Good Times" by Glenn Jones (from Ready for the Good Times)

One of the more recent songs in today's shuffle. Glenn Jones is a singer-songwriter based in Chapel Hill, NC, this is his 3rd solo album and it includes members of Mipso and Mandolin Orange.
