And, I am back. Just in time for another Featured Friday Playlist. This one covers two weeks and is extra long as a result. Things look pretty slow for next week with Christmas - so I may take two weeks to recap this one. In any event, I am starting with the sixteen songs - below the jump. Be sure to check out the Playlist and Follow it on Spotify. We are fortunate to have a good number of followers. I try to make each week's Playlist as diverse as possible with an emphasis on independent artists. A reminder - the order of the Playlist while not entirely random (and not entirely planned either) is not a ranking - just an order.

1. "Digital Daze" by Microwave Mountain
E2TG and East Nashville faves - Microwave Mountain just released Electric Escapism - their brand new album. Joy!
2. "Computer of Love" by Aaron Lee Tasjan
Tasjan! Tasjan! Tasjan! will be out next year, but we have another single. Can I call album of the year for a year that hasn't started?
3. "Valley View" by Adrian + Meredith
A beautiful new single from another East Nashville and E2TG favorite. Adrian + Meredith also have a new Christmas single which I will be featuring soon.
4. "Queen Jane Approximately" by Emma Swift
Sticking with East Nashville - Emma Swift released her acclaimed Bob Dylan tribute album - Blonde on the Tracks earlier this year on Bandcamp. It is now available to stream - so I took advantage to add it to this playlist. As I always say - if you hear music you love on Spotify - find a way to support the artist - buy music, buy merch etc.
5. "When the Party's Over - The Salinger *Not Our Songs Cover Session*" by Carl Anderson
How about a Billie Eilish cover from Charlottesville native and East Nashville and E2TG favorite Carl Anderson. He has a Christmas cover from this same series - which we will be featuring.
6. "Everett David" by Them Airs
The latest album from New Haven band Them Airs is getting a lot of good attention around Connecticut. Doped Runner Verse is now available on streaming services - so I thought I would give some Tennessee love to it.
7. "I'll Be Ok" by Jon Worthy
Jon Worthy has stayed very busy over this quarantine year releasing singles. The latest is out today.
8. "Be Free Baby" by Neville and Sugary Staple
We have gotten to know Neville Staple of The Specials through his solo output over recent years as well as the releases he has had with his significant other Sugary. Great stuff.
9. "Roughneck" by Vladopus9
Nashville noise-punk band Vladopus9 teamed with veteran Music Row country songwriter Bobby Fischer (who is in his 80s) for this new song - which offers a 21st century take on punk meets country.
10. "Another Friday Night News Dump" by Leland Sundries
Former Brooklyn and now Memphis band Leland Sundries latest single gets political. Great stuff.
11. "Doesn't Make It Alright" by Tomas Doncker
Next up, a new single from E2TG favorite and New York no wave veteran Tomas Doncker.
12. "ZTAR" by FŪÑ ŻØÑË®
Our second time featuring music from the debut album - Dark Castles - by this young Kansas City band.
13. "Diet Weed" by Eric & the Anti-Vaxxers
About a new single from the East Nashville band whose name always causes me to get disclaimers about vaccines whenever I look it up.
14. "Distance of One" by The Cravens
South Florida band The Cravens have been favorites of ours for a couple of years. They have a timely new single.
15. "Fuck 2020" by Cael Dadian
Few would argue with the sentiment of this song from San Diego based songwriter Cael Dadian. Besides agreeing with the sentiment, this is a very good song. Check it out.
16. "Lonesome Rambling Ways" by Old Californio
We close out this opening salvo of music with the b-side of a recent single (or maybe it is a double a-side) the flip is a cover of The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows". The Pasedena based band - has a new album called Songs From the Sea of Cortez which is not yet on Spotify (but which you can find on Bandcamp). This is a non-album single.
