For your holiday shopping: The Drift - A Novel by Joe Wolfe-Mazeres Available at Amazon.com (Kindle edition also available)

Another amazing $2 Tuesday at The 5 Spot - with the highlight being the CD release for Bob Lewis' new release End of an Error. All of the music was fantastic. A good hang with friends.

It's already mid-week. That means it's time for another edition of the "Wild Wednesday Shuffle".  In addition to the music currently being featured on E2TG, my phone memory - which has moved and accumulated from phone to phone - with random additions as they come to me - has a wide variety of MP3 files that tend to span a pretty wide body of genres, styles, years etc.  Every Wednesday, we shake up that big pot of songs and see what falls out.  Here's what fell out today.

"Persona" by Darto

First up - from the "New Music" playlist - we have a track from Fundamental Slime - the latest release by Seattle band Darto. We previously featured a solo album by Darto band member Nicholas Merz. The band completed a UK tour with the band Wand earlier this month.
"Memphis in the Meantime" by Gregg Allman

Up next, we have the late, great Gregg Allman with his cover of the John Hiatt classic. Allman included his song on his 1997 album Searching for Simplicity. The song was originally released by Hiatt on his 1987 album Bring the Family.

"Arkansas Woman" by James House and and the Blues Cowboys

Next, we have veteran songwriter James House with a track from his album with his band the Blues Cowboys. House had penned singles for Diamond Rio and Dwight Yoakam, and he had a country career of his own. This latest album finds House playing some hard rocking blues music.

"New Years Eve" by Adam Carroll and Michael O'Connor

Next up, we have Adam Carroll with a track from his 2009 collaborative album Hard Times - made with South Texas singer-songwriter Michael O'Connor.  Carroll and his music and life partner Chris Carroll recently ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund two new releases. O'Connor was added to the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in 2010.

"Tell me Lies" by Tim Carroll

Next up, Tim Carroll (no relation - as far as I know).  We have been featuring songs from his recent album Keeping Time but this track goes back to an earlier release called Pure as Coal.  As I know I have mentioned before, Carroll is a prolific songwriter, a phenomenal  guitar player and one of the good guys on the East Nashville music scene.

"Awhileaway" by Yo La Tengo

Next up, we have a track from Stuff Like That There - the 14th Studio album by Veteran indie band Yo La Tengo. This album featured original guitar player Dave Schramm who left in 1986 - and returned briefly in 2015.

"Dolly Daydream" by Mellor

Next up, we have UK indie band Mellor - this was a track we got back in early 2016. It was from an EP called Damage/Joy.  I can no longer find the song on-line - so we have a different video featuring the band.

"Louisiana Belle" by Ten Penny Gypsy

We previously had a song about Arkansas, so why not have a song by Arkansas duo Ten Penny Gypsy with a track about Louisiana. Their self-titled album earned the band a nomination in the Arkansas Country Music Awards.

"30,000 Feet Above" by Mary Bites Kerry

You may be saying, hey E2TG, you cover all kinds of music, but have you every featured ska punk music from Taiwan?  Up until today, the answer would have been "No", but now, I am pleased to bring you a track from Taiwanese ska punk band Mary Bites Kerry from their album Look into the Future. Plus a video about skydiving in Normandy.

"Elmer Smith" by Tom House

We come back to Nashville with Tom House from his album 'Til You've Seen Mine. The album features guest spots by folks like David Olney, Paul Niehaus, Tomi Lunsford, Sam Bush, Fats Kaplin, and more.
