Next up, we have a COVID response single from the forthcoming Embracing Folk EP. Larry Folk is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose career dates back to the mid 1970s. His most recent album In the Moonlight was released back in September.

Next up, we have a release from Round Room Music who solicited poems from around the world to be transformed into music by Nashville musicians. The poem that produced this song was written by a Baker from Belgium Jimmy Coenen and performed by Alabama native and Nashville musician Chad Wilson. The music was written Andy Dixon.

"Leroy's Calling Me Home" by Stuffy Shmitt (from Stuff Happens - 2020)
We start off with a track from Stuffy Shmitt's highly acclaimed 2020 album Stuff Happens. It was his first album in eight years when it was released and it was one of my favorites from a jam-packed 2020 of new releases.
"After Loving One Man in East Texas" by Raging Fire (from These Teeth Are Sharp - 2017)
The legendary Nashville band reunited in 2015 for an incredible show at Exit/In and compilation album of their 80s output. Spurred by this, they reunited again in 2017 to release this album of new material. Featuring Melora Zaner, John Reed, Mark Medley, Giles Reeves with the one-two punch of Joe Blanton and Jeff Cease admirably teaming up to fill the hole left by the late Michael Godsey - this reenergized and reunited line-up made a wonderful album.
"Southern Strain" by Skylar Gregg (from Roses - 2020)
Another of our favorite 2020 releases... I am not sure if she is officially a Nashville native, but if not she has lived most of her life her and first performed at the age of six.
"I Like That In A Man" by Jonell Mosser with John Hall (from Little Black Dress - 2019)
The one and only Jonell Mosser is a Nashville legend. Here she teams up with John Hall (Orleans) who besides his musical career was a U.S. Congressman from the State of New York.
"Devils Mouth" by Becca Mancari (from Good Woman - 2017)
Next up, we have a track from the debut album from singer-songwriter Becca Mancari - who go on to form Bermude Triangle with Brittany Howard and Jesse Lafser.
"Move" by The White Animals (from 3000 Nights in Babylon - 2014)
Any discussion of early Nashville rock music that doesn't include the wildly popular White Animals is incomplete. The band reunited in recent years and was playing shows up until the pandemic.
