    Featured Friday Playlist

Featured Friday Playlist (Songs 1-16):

1. "Here Come the Blues" by Cold Equations
The second single from long-time E2TG favorite Drew Kohl's new project. This is a great song featuring Kohl's incredible vocals and a fantastic production.
2. "Raise A Banner" by Zach Schmidt
At long last, the new Zach Schmidt album is out, and to celebrate we are featuring the title track this week. One of my favorite singer-songwriters. Happy for him that his wonderful music is out finally.
3. "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" by Gina Sicilia
E2TG favorite Gina Sicilia takes on the Simon and Garfunkel classic and nails it. A great showcase for her massive vocal power.
4. "I'm an Animal Too" by Sour Ops
Nashville band featuring guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer Price Harrison - with their second full-length album called X. Guest on the album include our friend Paul Niehaus.
5. "Den blomsterid nu kommer" by Georg Nielsen
More instrumental summer music from Sweden via our old friend Georg (aka Jon Magnussen)
6. "You Can Go To Hell, I'm Going to Texas" by Ted Russell Kamp
A new Ted Russell Kamp record is reason to celebrate. His 13th album Solitaire is set for a May 7 release. This is the latest single and features Vanessa Olivarez.
7. "Brother" by Stephen Flatt
Cumberland Bones is out - it is the debut solo album from this Nashville based singer-songwriter who continues the musical heritage of his great uncle Lester Flatt - in is own unique way.
8. "Sad Eyed Lover" by Katie Knipp
The Well - the new EP from California singer-songwriter Katie Knipp is out.  This song really caught my ear. Wonderful stuff. Check it out.
9. "Ostrich Theory" by Cole Quest and The City Pickers
Self (En)Titled is out now - we featured their cover of "Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key" previously (lyrics by Cole Quest's grandfather Woody Guthrie). This is the lead track from the album, and it shows off the musical chops of the NYC based City Pickers.
10. "Butterfly Effect" by David Woodard
Next up, the title track from the new EP by Nashville singer-songwriter David Woodward.  We featured a track off his previous full-length album last year. Dig this a lot.
11. "The King of Leaves - Acoustic" by Ronan Furlong
The Irish singer-songwriter is hard at work on his next album - this album previously saw a limited release but has now been given a wider release. A great tune - check it out.
12. "Lead Ballloon" by Dude Safari
UK band Dude Safari are back with their second single- a follow-up to "Bug Hunter" which we featured last month. The band name was arrived at in 2013 at a festival, but sat idle until finally coming to fruition just recently.  Dig this band.
13. "Drinking Tang" by Thee More Shallows
Next up, we have the new single from the revived UK indie-pop band that formed in the early aughts. This delightfully sweet sounding song - reflections on frontman Dee Kesler's religious upbringing and speculates on how the historical Jesus might fare in the modern era as he aged. The song is a whole lot of fun.
14. "Heartbreak High" by James Burt
Next up, we have the second single from this UK singer-songwriter who is studying music and working in a shop while launching his career. This song is a delicious bit of 80s inspired pop music.
15. "The Calla Lilly Song" by The Brother Brothers
Calla Lilly - the second album from this indie folk duo from Brooklyn which features identical twins is out today, and we have what is essentially the title track.
16."Ghost of Summer" by David Wax Museum
Euphoric Ouroboric - the 8th full-length released from this Boston based duo is out now. We previously featured the single "Juniper Jones".  A great tune to close out this long segment of music.
