Music City Monday Morning Shuffle - Blot out the Sun Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Hey - most everyone including yours truly will be fully immersed in the eclipse when I normally post this so I doing a quick post of our Monday shuffle... everyone protect your eyes and enjoy this rare cosmic event...

"Blue Highways" by Darrin Bradbury
I love when stuff like this happens.  I had the awesome opportunity to watch and hear Darrin Bradbury record a live album last night a cool studio in Nashville - Trace Horse Studio. It was so good to hear a long set of some of my favorites and some new songs. He did not get to this one, but this is definitely one of my all time favorite DB songs.
"Motorcycle Mama" by Will Kimbrough

From Godsend - a compilation of unreleased tracks - Will Kimbrough dedicated this song to his wife Jessica.

"Catfish and Cornbread" by This Frontier Needs Heroes

We have a few menu options for the coming eclipse - starting with some down home Catfish and Cornbread from the Real Job album.

"Burgundy Wine" by Don Gallardo and How Far West

Wash that down with some fine Burgundy Wine from the Live at 3rd and Lindsley album.

"Slow Turning" by John Hiatt

Next - the title track and our last to feature from John Hiatt's classic Slow Turning album.

"To the Stars" by Applewood Road

There will be stars shining during the eclipse (I think) - anyway, this is another track from the outstanding Applewood Road album.  From this superstar trio.

"New Car Smell" by Lori Kelley

Next up - we have Lori Kelley with a track off her More album. Lori is one of the great songwriters I have lucky to get to know over the course of writing E2TG.

"Potatoes and Whiskey" by Blackfoot Gypsies

And how 'bout we close this off with some Potatoes and Whiskey - from the new album by Blackfoot Gypsies which is called To the Top.
