"Free to Be" by Raging Fire (from These Teeth Are Sharp - 2017)

First up, we have a track from the 2017 reunion album by the 1980s Nashville band Raging Fire. In my experience, reunion albums can be hit or miss, but this is a solid album. 

"Tower and the Wheel" by Wild Ponies (from Galax - 2017)

It seems almost redundant to say it, but this is one of my favorite Wild Ponies songs from their ambitious 2017 album - recorded in the important traditional music mecca of Galax, Virginia. 

"2 Song Set (Live)" by Loudon Wainwright III (from Years in the Making - 2018)

Loudon Wainwright III was only in Nashville for a couple of years, but one of his album features the famous polar bears of Edgehill, so that makes him Nashville enough for me.  From the remarkable 2018 compilation. 

"Going Home" by Madeleine Besson (from Journey Home - 2018)

Coincidentally, this song was featured on Thursday's Greetings from Nashville (see above) and it showed up in the shuffle again today. 

"Applebees (Remix)" by David Woodard (from Butterfly Effect - 2021)

A bonus track from the album released earlier this year.  Not THE Applesbees song but a much better song in my opinion. 

"Slingshot" by Justin & The Cosmics (from Hangin' Out in My Body - 2008)

Going back over a decade to the album that gave Justin Collins his Instagram handle. 

"Hard to Forget" by Lindsay Ellyn (from Queen of Nothing - 2021)

One of my most highly anticipated albums of 2021 ended up being one of my favorites. I've been a fan of Lindsay Ellyn for years, and I had high expectations - this album exceeded them all.
