Music City Monday Morning Shuffle - Since You've Been Gone Mix

Well, the 2019 Edition of the Magnolia Roads American Roots Hoedown IV is in the books. Over two nights, 13 acts featuring at least 54 artists performed. There was also a silent auctions which raised money for the Ben Eyestone Fund of Music Health Alliance, a COMMUnity Canvas - collaborative painting, and just a ton of fun.
Thank you to Emily Hansen of Magnolia Roads for letting me be a part of this. I got to see old friends like The Truehearts, Chris Wilson, Don Gallardo, Mike Younger, Rich Mahan, and Lady Couch; people that I saw at previous Magnolia Roads events - like Jenny Lee West, Arkansas Dave, Bonnie Blue, and Jason Daniels; and some new folks like Bryan Haraway, FunkyJenn, and Jeff Mix.

Wild Wednesday Morning Shuffle - The Art of Drifting Mix

It's getting real and it's getting really close! The Magnolia Roads American Roots Hoedown IV is just a couple of days away. Make you plans. The 5 Spot in East Nashville is one of my favorite places in town, and it will be a great place to get away from all of madness going on around Nashville this weekend. You will find two nights of original music from 13 great acts, a silent auction, a great cause (The Ben Eyestone Fund of Music Health Alliance), a community canvas project, and much more. It all kicks off at 9:00pm on Friday April 26.
Now, for today's Wild Wednesday Shuffle - I decided to use our "Trending"/new music playlist - just to make some more room in that playlist - because we have so much great music. Plus, I was off work last Friday and I likely won't be doing a regular shuffle this Friday. Still, as I said last week, thanks to the awesome variety of music I have been receiving, our this shuffle is pretty darn "wild".

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you of the on-going on-line silent auction being conducted in conjunction with the Magnolia Roads American Roots Hoedown IV - coming this weekend. The auction ends Saturday and the winners will be announced just before the final act - Lady Couch - takes the stage. You do not need to be present to win, but if you around Nashville - please consider coming out. All proceeds from the auction are going to the Ben Eyestone Fund of the Music Health Alliance. A vital organization that helps provide lifesaving medical assistance to working musicians.
Elizabeth Cook, Jason Isbell, John Prine, The Grateful Dead, Wilco and more have all donated items which you can bid on now. Just visit the website to see the items and BID.

Magnolia Roads American Roots Hoedown IV is almost here! I hope, if you are in Nashville, you will make plans to attend. It is doing to be a truly memorable two nights of music and more. With all the insanity coming to Nashville this week, with the NFL Draft and the Marathon, it is important to remember that and why Nashville truly is Music City USA. There are those who want to obscure or dilute that fact, and in rebuttal, I offer up - this shuffle!

The fabulous Lady Couch will be closing out the whole she-bang on Saturday! Here is a video of Allen Thompson and Mike Ford of Lady Couch.
Now, we have come to the last Shuffle for this week. I am off work tomorrow for Good Friday.
You know, I may need to rename my Wild Wednesday shuffle - because to be honest our regular shuffles have been pretty wild and pretty awesome. Thanks go out to the artists and publicists who continue to send me great and diverse new (and reissued) (and new to me) music.
