Trending Tuesday Morning Shuffle - Born in Tennessee Mix

Crazy day, and I am a bit rushed, so let's get right to today's Trending Tuesday shuffle.

"Born in Tennessee" by Josh Gray

We start off with another track from one of my favorite albums of 2019.  Songs of the Highway is Nashville singer-songwriter Josh Gray's debut full-length album, and it is a wonderful collection of songs.  This song is about a woman or else I might assume it was about me.  Not many people around Nashville were born in Tennessee. Seriously though, it is a lovely song.

"The Fall" by Slowness

San Francisco based drone pop, shoegaze, slowcore band Slowness are up next with a track from their forthcoming album Berths.  They are releasing the second single, "Berlin" tomorrow.  For now, check out the album's first single "Rose" in the video playlist.

"Lookin' Back Blues" by Jason Ringenberg

For the second day in a row, we have a track from Jason Ringenberg's Stand Tall album. This is one of my favorite songs on the album.  It has the kind of energy and good humor one might expect from the lead singer of Jason and the Scorchers.

"Shadow" by Polly Panic

Next up, we have some cello driven rock from Polly Panic - who is a member of the long-running cello-driven band Rasputina. Losing Form is a wonderful album.  Panic has been touring in the South from her Asheville, North Carolina base.

"Get Back in Bed" by Bridge 19

Next up, we have our first listen to In the Afterglow by Louisville, Kentucky based band Bridge 19. This is the band's third album, and it was just released last week.  They have a wonderful sound, and this is an excellent track.  I look forward to hearing and playing more.
"Vegas" by Bobbo Byrnes

Next up, we have another track from Two Sides of This Town by Massachusetts based singer-songwriter Bobbo. Byrnes is also a member of the band Fallen Stars.  Really digging this album.

"Uneasy Does It" by Eric Brace, Peter Cooper, and Thomm Jutz

It should be no surprise that when talented people like Eric Brace, Peter Cooper, and Thomm Jutz get together, the result is something special. So, I knew that their latest collaborative album, Riverland was going to be good.  Even so, I was blown away by how on point and powerful this album is.  You can almost smell the Mississippi River coursing through the album and influencing the lives of the characters and land we encounter.

"Love Anyway" by Chad Richard

We close things out with another first listen.  Worthy Cause by singer-songwriter Chad Richard - who comes from the Sabine River bottom - where Louisiana and Texas meet.  The album was produced by the great Walk Wilkins and features a hefty cast of great Texas musicians. This was my true first listen, and I am loving what I have heard so far. Much more to come!
