Wild Wednesday Morning Shuffle - Bastards Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Braved the storms to take in another $2 Tuesday with friends on stage and in the crowd.  Erica Blinn Lauren Anderson, Derek Hoke (with Jon Radford, Adam Kurtz, and Jared Manzo), and Samantha Harlow (with a great band).

Programming note: there is a chance that there will not be a shuffle tomorrow.  I am out of pocket in the morning, and I may not have a chance to post, but I will try.

It is Wednesday - time for some Wild Wednesday action.

"Red Cadillac and a Black Moustache" by Robert Gordon with Link Wray

First up, we have a track from 1978's Fresh Fish Special by punk turned rockabilly revivalist Robert Gordon along with the legendary guitarist Link Wray.  Here they are doing  a song written by Lillian May and Willie Bea Thompson that was first recorded by Bob Luman in 1957.

"True" by Tim Lee 3

The predecessor band to Bark - Tim Lee 3 return to the shuffle with a track from their 33 1/3 album - celebrating the 33 1/3 anniversary of Tim and Susan Bauer Lee.

"Bastards" by Kesha

Next up, Kesha - who grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee with the lead off track from her 2017 album Rainbow.

"White Moon" by Dylan Rodrique

One of the newer songs in the shuffle, we have L.A. singer-songwriter Dylan Rodrique with a track from his album Cat's Game.

"Motherless Child (Love's Not For War)" by Elephant Stone

Next up, we have Canadian band Elephant Stone whose music combines traditional Indian music with Western Psychedelia. We listened to a live version from World Cafe Live.

"Change" by Jerry Castle

Next up, we have the final track from Nashville based singer-songwriter Jerry Castle's  2016 album Not So Soft Landing.  A great sounding album.

"Senor" by Black Severn

Next up, we have the final track from Bristol, UK based psychedelic blues-noir band Black Severn from their self-titled 2016 album - which we featured here at E2TG.

"Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again" by Old Crow Medicine Show

We close with Old Crow Medicine Show doing a live cover of the Bob Dylan classic. This recording is taken from the 2017 live album 50 Years of Blonde on Blonde by Nashville's own Old Crow Medicine Show.
