All of this happened a long time ago when the world was a very different place. Of course, none of us knew that at the time.

ICYMI (which you may have because FACEBOOK decided to delete posts for a while (they are back), E2TG posted a song feature on the new single from singer-songwriter Danny Schmidt. You can read about and listen to it - HERE.
Well, this week has finally reached it's conclusion - as far as the work week goes. It's been a wild one for, so I am not exactly sad to see it end. But, time is flying at this is the last full week of shuffles in August.
I added a bunch of new music to the "New Music" playlist, however, as is often the case, none of those new tracks showed up today, but look for some awesome new stuff coming up soon. Today, we have some awesome tracks from albums we have been featuring for either a short or long time. Enjoy!
"Mother Fuss" by Brad Fielder
We start things off with another track from Country Folk from Oklahoma singer-songwriter Brad Fielder. I am really digging this album, and I am struck again by how much awesome music there is coming out of Oklahoma - and also the wonderful connections between Oklahoma's music community and the music community here in Nashville. Check out Country Folk by Brad Fielder - you won't be sorry.
"From the Corner of my Eyes" by Middlemist Red
From Brad Fielder's gruff country folk blues tones to some psychedelic rock out of Budapest, Hungary - we have another track from Middlemist Road off of their Ripple Soul album - this is our penultimate track to feature. This album is a couple of years old, but we got hold of it ahead of the band's first ever UK tour earlier in the year.
"In the Drink" (Kids' Version) by Tom Mason and the Blue Buccaneers
When Tom Mason and The Blue Buccaneers set out to record a children's album, in many cases they had to use new songs or adapt their older songs to filter out references to violence, alcohol, and other non-kid friendly pirate debauchery. In the Drink is one of the later. The version previously released on the band's previous album Pirate Party or the one of the Tom Mason solo album - The Blue Buccaneer is laced (pun sort of intended) with references to the pirate drinking too much and ending up in "the drink". For the version on their latest (children's) album, If You Want to Be a Pirate: Songs for Young Buccaneers, the song describes various other misadventures of our "hero". Either way, it is a jolly good time and a great song.
"Not Beg" by Freevolt
It's been a couple of months since we featured music from Freevolt and their album Open Your Door which was released at the beginning of this year. The band is based in Massachusetts and combines roots, jam, reggae, pop, soul and more into a delicious musical stew that is fun and satisfying. This is one of my favorite "discoveries" of 2018, and I look forward to hearing what this band does next.
"Over the Stars" by rOZZ
rOZZ is a singer-songwriter-astronomer from Belgium. This is another track from her album Crunching the C. rOZZ's music incorporates her spacey interests in a unique and interesting way. I have been thoroughly enjoying this album.
"Fashion" by Nicholas Merz
Nicholas is a singer-songwriter from Seattle, and he is also a member of the band Darto. His recently released solo album called is called the Limits of Men, and it features several prominent musicians playing on the albu.
"The Vandal and the Saint" by David J
. Next, we have another track from Crocodile Tears and the Velvet Couch by David J. This is the 1980s era solo album which is being released in conjunction with David J's tour with his Bauhaus band mate Peter Murphy. This music sounds fresh, and if I didn't know it wasn't a new album, I wouldn't have questioned that it was a recently made album.
"In Stitches" by Kristin Hersh
And we close out this week and this shuffle, with another veteran of the 1980s post-punk, pre-alt rock scene. This is our final track to feature from Wyatt at the Coyote Palace by former Throwing Muses member Kristin Hersh. Hersh is preparing to release Possible Dust Clouds - the follow up to this album in October. You may recall, we began featuring this album last year (it was released in 2016) when it was released on vinyl.
