All of this happened a long time ago when the world was a very different place. Of course, none of us knew that at the time.

E2TG July 2018 NEW!
Wednesday is the tipping point, it is now socially acceptable to start looking forward to the end of the work week. As a bonus, we have a three day weekend coming up, AND we are into the final three days of the month. September is looking to be a very busy month for E2TG so buckle up.
If you have been paying attention around here, you know Wednesday is the day we get "wild". Our Wednesday shuffles come not from one specific playlist but from all of the songs currently saved to my phone. This usually creates an interesting mix of old and new songs - where E2TG favorites exist alongside some of the many legendary figures. You may hear some of the music we are currently featuring, but you are just as likely to hear music we previously featured or classic tunes from my personal collection.
Enough talk, let's shuffle!
"If You Ever See Jesus Again" by Patrick Bergin
We begin with some traditional pop sounds from Irish singer/actor Patrick Bergin. U.S. audiences may know him best from his role in the 1991 films Sleeping with the Enemy. UK readers may know him from his role in EastEnders.
"Things Could Turn Around" by fIREHOSE
Next up, we have the final track from the debut album by California post-punk band fIREHOSE. The band featured Mike Watt and George Hurley of the Minutemen - along with singer/guitarist Ed Crawford (Ed fromOhio). Crawford encouraged Watt and Hurley to form the band - after the death of D. Boon.
"Greener" by David J
Next up, we have another track from the reissued album Crocodile Tears and the Velvet Cosh by Bauhaus and Love and Rockets bassist David J - which we are currently featuring here at E2TG. I was a big Love and Rockets fan, and I am discovering by listening to this album how much David J contributed to the sound I loved in that band.
"Regrets" by si,irene
Next up, we have another track from the fascinating and wonderful release called BEE by this band based in Japan. I have been digging this music which sound different and new, but with a touch of some familiar alt-rock sounds. I could not find a video for this track, but if you want to take a listen - check out the track below.
"Follow the Light" by Gavin Chappell-Bates
English folk-rock singer-songwriter Gavin Chappell-Bates has a new album set for release in October called Do What You Like. This track goes back to an earlier release which we featured here at E2TG called We Are the Ones. One thing I love about Wild Wednesday shuffles is that they can remind me of artists and given the chance to catch up with them.
"Flow with It (You Got Me Feeling Like)" by St. Paul and the Broken Bones
Next up, we have a track from Birmingham Alabama based band - from their 2016 album Sea of Noise. The band is set to release the follow up to this album called Young Sick Camellia in about a week.
"Sunny Came Home" by Shawn Colvin
Shawn Colvin has been recording as a solo artist for 30 years. This song which was the theme song to her concept album, A Few Small Repairs - was the impetus for her jump to the mainstream. The song and album were commercial and critical successes. The song won both the Record of the Year and Song of the Year Grammy at the 1998 Grammy Awards. The album came out in 1996 but the single was released in 1997.
"Ology" by Living Colour
Time's Up was the second album by Living Colour which was released in 1990 (actually 28 years ago yesterday). This track was written by the band's original bassist Muzz Skillings.
"Supermarket" by DRUNKSOULS
Next up, we have a track from Revolution by the French reggae/rock band DRUNKSOULS - this is an album we featured back in 2012. The band formed in 2002. I haven't kept up with them very well since featuring this album, but it was good to here this track and be reminded about how good this music is.
"Well Ran Dry" by James House and the Blues Cowboys
Finally, we are going to close out this shuffle with another track from the self-titled debut album by this blues-based band led by veteran songwriter James House. The band will celebrate the release of the album with a show this coming Friday at The City Winery here in Nashville. James House has written country songs for Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride, and Diamond Rio - as well as charting a couple of hit songs himself. On this new album, he moves away from country to a more blues-based music.
