All of this happened a long time ago when the world was a very different place. Of course, none of us knew that at the time.

E2TG April 2018 (NEW!)
Check out the brand new E2TG Spotify Playlist for April 2018. I'm eventually going to catch up to present time.
Check back here tomorrow, we have a Song Premiere that I am very excited to bring you.
A lot going on, so I'm just going to jump right into the Trending Thursday shuffle!
"Be Careful With Those Dreams" by The Search
We start things off with a song from the Swedish band, The Search. The band formed in 1999 and released six EPs under their original name Silverslut before changing their name in 2004. Their latest album is called A Wave From the Sidelines which came out back in April. Really like the sound of this band.
"Un Noveau Balai (A New Broom)" by Rat Scabies
Wishing a belated Happy Birthday to Rat Scabies who turned 62 a few days ago. This is an instrumental track from his solo album P.H.D. (Prison Hospital Debt). Rat Scabies is best known for his nearly 20 year stint as the drummer of the seminal UK punk/Goth band The Damned.
"The Painter Paints" by Shriekback
Speaking of long-running UK bands, we have another track from the album Why Anything? Why This? which was released back in May. The band formed in 1981 by Barry Andrews (XTC). This is my favorite song from the album right now.
"Feeling Mean" by Ben Bostick
Back to the U.S., we have another track from Hellfire - the new album from singer-songwriter Ben Bostick. Bostick is originally from South Carolina, but he is currently based in Los Angeles. This is modern outlaw country, and I'm digging it very much.
"Long Lost Friend" by AJ Ghent (J-Ent)
Next up, we have Atlanta-based blues/soul/funk artist AJ Ghent (aka J-Ent) with a track from his fantastic The Neo Blues Project which came out back in March. Great stuff!
"Old Woman By The Sea" by Ten Penny Gypsy
Next up, we have a beautiful song from the self-titled album by Arkansas duo, Ten Penny Gypsy. One thing I love about doing E2TG is discovering that there are hotbeds of music - all over the place. Over the last six months or so, I have "discovered" several fine artists from Arkansas.
"Summer" by Cordova
Since I am from Nashville, and there is a fairly well-known Nashville based band called Cordovas that this is not them. The Nashville band with the "s" is about to release an album. This is a New Mexico rock band (with no "s") and we are featuring tracks from their release called Runaway Summer. This seasonally appropriate song is called "Summer". It's some great stuff.
"At The Apollo" by Jing Chi
The shuffle has been loving Supremo by the blues fusion supergroup Jing Chi recently, and I am thrilled about that. We close out today's shuffle with a six minute piece. These celebrated players take blues music in new directions. It is wonderful. Again, in case you missed earlier posts, Jing Chi featured Robben Ford, Jimmy Haslip, and Vinnie Colaiuta. These legends combine forces here to incredible effect.
