Trending Thursday Morning Shuffle - Caged Up Bull Mix (Land of Dismay Remix)

*Note: The video playlist at the bottom of the post attempts to closely approximate the shuffle I listened to on my way to work this morning. When a video for a song was not available, I substituted another song by the same artist. When I could not find any videos by an artist, I included a related video or did not include a video for that track. This blog may reference unreleased tracks, however, no unreleased music is ever included.

No post tomorrow.  I will be off work.  I am hard at work on the upcoming E2TG reboot.  Before that, we have the end of the year getting closer, and per usual, I feel totally unprepared.

Anyway, here is today's shuffle - enjoy!

"Perpetual Emotion Machine" by The Great American Novel

First up, we have the return of The Great American Novel to the shuffle - after an extended hiatus - this New York band came to our attention in the first couple of years of E2TG.  The band recently released a series of singles that marked their first release in nearly five years.  This is the first of three singles released. The band is led by Layne Montgomery.
"Do The Damn Thing" by Tino Drima

Next up, we have the first of two tracks in the shuffle from Suitin' Up - the new EP from garage-psyche outfit - Tino Drima from the San Francisco Bay area.  I am really digging this album.

"All I Can Do Is Cry" by The Luckies

Next, we have Montreal based band The Luckies with a track from East of Eden.  Great sounding music.

"Welcome to America" by Richie Owens and the Farm Bureau

Next up, we have some new music from E2TG favorites Richie Owens and the Farm Bureau.  "Welcome to America" is a timely song. Great to have new music from these guys.

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Silent Winter

Next up, we have our first Christmas submission of the season.  It comes from Ottawa based Silent Winters off a holiday album called Christmas Morning.  Word has it that the band will be releasing new music after the first of the year. This release is due out in about two week.  Lovely version of this classic - introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 musical - Meet Me in St. Louis.

"Lover" by Tino Drima

Track number two today from Tino Drima. Yeah!

"Where Did You Go" by Taylor Barton

Next, we have another track from House of Light by New York based singer-songwriter Taylor Barton. Lovely song from a lovely album.

"Grace of God" by Amy Speace

East Nashville singer-songwriter Amy Speace is up next with a track from her album Me and The Ghost of Charlemagne. A favorite of album of my from 2019.

"Broken Good" by Chuck Hawthorne

We close strong with a couple of tracks from two more 2019 favorites.  The first is Austin Texas based singer-songwriter Chuck Hawthorne from his latest album Fire Out of Stone.

"Caged Up Bull" by Mark Cline Bates

And, we close out this shuffle and the week with a track from another favorite album of this year that is winding down.  King of Crows is a fantastic album, and I love this song.  Really bummed that I missed Bates when he was in town last week.
