Featured Friday Morning Shuffle - Back Then Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Really rushed for time - but enjoy this shuffle (see the video playlist which closely mimics the songs I heard (some are not yet available).

"Can't Let Go" by Josh Hyde

We start with another fine song from Into the Soul - the latest album from Josh Hyde - released in April.

"RIP Future" by Rat Fancy

Stay Cool is the debut full length album by California pop punk band Rat Fancy.  It was released in June, and I am digging it.  I got to see Rat Fancy a couple of years back at Athens Pop Fest.

"Back Then" by The Big Dumb

E2TG favorites The Big Dumb are next with another song from We Get Along Too Well.  The Big Dumb are hard at work on their follow-up and first full-length album. You can catch them at the E2TG Fall Residency on October 23 with a 2nd act that has not yet been revealed.

"Pull Down the Moon" by RJ Chesney

Next up, we have another from the fantastic album Amateur Revolution by California singer-songwriter RJ Chesney. The album was recorded between California and Norway.

"Line Boat Blues" by Ben Davis Jr.  (Feat. David Childers)

Next up, we have our second listen to Suthernahia which is due out August 16.  This song was just released  this week and it features David Childers - a singer-songwriter from Mount Holly, North Carolina.  Really wonderful song.

"Locked Out" by Leroy From the North

We also have our second listen to Health and Wellness (due out August 2) from California (via Detroit) band Leroy from the North. Another album I am really digging.

"You Know, You Don't Know" by Tommy Jones and the Troubadours

Next up, we have another great track from The Truth Will Out by UK band Tommy Jones and The Troubadours.  The album was recorded where Oasis, The Verve, and Charlatans recorded and mastered at Abbey Road.

"Temptation" by Renee Wahl and the Sworn Secrets

Next up, we have another from Cut to the Bone by E2TG favorite Renee Wahl. Just a wonderful album and one of my favorites of this year.

"30 Days" by Bruce Smith

Our second track from Til the Wheels Fall Off by Austin based singer-songwriter Bruce Smith.  A really great album.

"Still Among the Living" by Ted Drozdoweki's Coyote Motel

We close things out with our second listen of the week to Coyote Motel - the new project of Ted Drozdowski - this track features the vocal talents of Luella.  Check out the video features Suspended Gravity Circus choreographers/dancers: Erika Golden and Christy Rose Suspendedcircus.com  and Darling Lucifer Productions analog light show:  Darlinglucifer.com. The video was directed by Richie Owens.  Coyote Motel, Luella, the dancers, and the light show will all be at The 5 Spot on August 10 to celebrate the release of Coyote Motel's new acoustic album.
