Trending Thursday Morning Shuffle - Satisfied Mix

Be sure to "Like" Ear to the Ground on Facebook!

Keep checking back here for more information about the E2TG Fall Residency.  We are looking to make another exciting announcement soon. Plus, we are going to have the detailed line-ups and dates soon. Trust me when I say, you are not going to want to miss these shows!

Today we jump back into the Trending/New Music playlist for today's Trending Thursday shuffle.  Let's just get to it.

"I'm the Smile" by Charlie Roth

First up, we have the title track from the 8th and most recent album by Minnesota based singer-songwriter Charlie Roth.  I know what your thinking - Minnesota songwriter? I mean I can't think of any songwriters who have come out of Minnesota (before you write - I'm being sarcastic!).  Roth traveled down to Texas - another state known for songwriters and enlisted the help of an impressive group of musicians. Ray Bonneville, Bill Kirchen, and Lloyd Maines - just to name three.  I am very much enjoying this album.

"Ease Your Pain" by Josh Gray

I am super excited to have Josh Gray be a part of our Fall Residency.  Songs of the Highway is a great album, and Gray's songs and his voice have a way of worming their way into my heart.

"Crying On Me" by Mouth Reader

Next up, we have another track from Holographic Phase by Murfreesboro based garage/psyche band Mouth Reader. So glad, I caught back up with this band.

"Funeral Home" by Will Payne Harrison

We have another song from Will Payne Harrison's Living with Ghost album.  The first track has been released - the album will be out September 6.  If you didn't get in on his presale/crowd-funding campaign - make sure you jump on this when it comes out.  If you did get in the crowdfunding - make sure you check your e-mail for your chance to hear the full-album now.

"Satisfied" by Steve Conn

We are a day late, but a Happy Birthday to Steve Conn . This is a track from his Flesh and Bone album.  Steve Conn is based in Nashville with deep connections to Louisiana music.  Conn started his music career in Louisiana and lived in Colorado and Los Angeles before settling in Middle Tennessee. Steve Conn has a long and impressive list of credits (he was the founding musical director of eTown - the weekly performance showcase heard on hundreds of public radio stations.

"32nd Street" by The Truehearts

The Truehearts will also be appearing at the E2TG residency this fall. I have them scheduled to play the same night as Josh Gray.  I'm thinking about calling that night - a Night of Songs.  The Truehearts new album is called Songs for Spike.   Their CD release was fantastic. It is amazing to see the growth of his band over the last couple of years.

"King of the Keelboat Men" by Eric Brace, Peter Cooper and Thomm Jutz
"It Might Be Hollywood" by Eric Brace, Peter Cooper and Thomm Jutz

The Truehearts knew Eric Brace from his time in the D.C. area. So, it is fitting that we close out the shuffle with two songs in a row from Riverland - the stunning latest album from the super trio of Brace, Peter Cooper, and Thomm Jutz.
